Chapter 59 - Goodbye

Everly POV

“Take me to Theo”, I say, and she shakes her head.

“Please be reasonable, Everly, and you’re in no condition to go there. At this point, your brother is unrecognisable, and I don’t blame Theo for it. He almost cost you your child, your man, everything”, Mother says, and I shake my head. I need to face Chris. I need to look him in the eyes and show him he didn’t win.

“I need to do this. If I am supposed to keep living this life, if I am supposed to raise a child in this world, I need to toughen up and see Chris. I need to face him. I need this”, I say, and she nods her head before she walks out of the room to get the doctor. I realise I am in the safe house, in the same place Chris is being held.
