Chapter 35 - Leaving?

Everly POV

“Where are you going?” he asks, grabbing my wrist. I pull it away from him, forcing myself not to cry as I open the door and grab my laptop. Theo grabs my bag and then walks to me. He stands in front of me, towering over me.

“Don’t do this, not like this. We can talk and sort this out. I didn’t agree with it. I had to speak to you first”, he says, and I shake my head, walking past him.

I open the door to leave, but I am stopped by Everly. She comes running to me and hugs my legs. “Where are you going?” she asks with tears in her eyes. I bend down and cradle her beautiful little face between my hands. I have learned to love this girl with all my heart, and it is going to be very difficult for me to walk away, but I can’t stay here. Not when I am in the way of her happiness with her parents together.
