Chapter 5

Terrius Monzanto? Terrius...

"Hey!" I almost jumped due to shock. Morette just yelled at my face.

"What?" I grunted.

"Why are you spacing out? You--we should be celebrating! We just danced for the most handsome men who visited this club!"

She's right. Those men were the most decent looking visitor we had in this club, and probably even the richest bunch of dudes. It's true that we should feel honored to dance for them and I do, because I got a good money earned tonight.

It's just that I can't seem to forget about that Terrius guy. He keeps bothering me inside my mind. I don't know why my heart feel pounded when he offered his hand for shake hand. I panicked and ran.

Ridiculous, right? That's what happened. He extended his arm for an introduction, but I ran. I didn't get scared. I felt overwhelmed, I felt like I wasn't able to breath for a moment. He's like a radiation I can't be exposed to for so long.

Thank god that they still paid me for my service not thinking about the shameful move I did.

"Did you talk to those men?" I can't help but to ask Morette too.

I need someone to talk to right now. I feel like my heart is about to explode for some reasons I can't explain.

"Uhh, me? Well, I did. After the dance, the man with glowing eyes and formal clothing asked for my name," she answered casually.

"Does that make any sense? All of them are wearing corporate attire and a man with glowing eyes, really?" I asked with sarcasm evident in the tone of my voice.

"No! All of them had no ties, aside from that man!" She defended.

Oh! Is she talking about the good looking guy? Because, she's right. All of them worn no ties. Also, that... that man wore no tie too. He's wearing a white long sleeved polo underneath his coat, paired with slacks.

"How about you?" she replied. "Did they talk to you?"

Should I tell the truth? There's nothing wrong in sharing details, right? Also, that event doesn't even fit the definition of 'keep it secret' or private, right?

"Yes, all of them talked  to me. They asked me if I do extra services, someone complimented me, and someone... he introduced himself to me," I awkwardly answered her question.

She looked at me unbelievingly, Why? Is it really that impossible for men like them to approach women like us?

We're harlot, I'm informed, but what's so big deal about it this? We, harlots, dance and earn money. Aside, from that we're no different from other people. We're like them, breathing and living. In short, we're human too.

Humans should be close to one another, right? I didn't know that we should be classified and dignified based on the jobs we have. World is really changing, not really sure if it's for the better or maybe even for worse.

"What? What's wrong with it?"

"Someone... complimented you? A harlot?" If she was looking at me unbelieving a while ago, she's looking at me like I'm a goddess now. "OMG! You're evolving! Bring me with you! Or at least don't forget about me when you get rich. Okay?"

What is she talking about? Rich? I hope so, but how?

"Ehh?" I looked at her confusingly. "What about it, then?"

Instead of answering me, she shot me a new batch of question. Are we doing an interview now?

"Who is that someone who introduced and gave his godly piece of name to you? Huh? Tell me, Ethel girl!"

"He... he said his name is T-Terrius Monzanto."

I even stuttered uttering his name. I just felt like it's so good to say, but at the same time it felt like a spicy food that's burning my tongue. So hot.

"OMG! Let's go," she pulled me to the preparation room.

Our shift for tonight is done. We already earned our salary, and just to share, it's a big pot of money. A hundred thousand is more than enough for a dance that only lasted for minutes. Take note, not a hundred thousand for all of them, but a hundred thousand peso for each of them. Imagine that, I didn't even need to dance the whole night to earn almost close to half a million.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

"Clean your things, we'll go to the nearest mall. We'll go shopping, and because among the two of us, I'm the one who doesn't live with any family, this will be my treat!"

Yeah, Morette is an orphan. She walked away from her old orphanage because she have a dream and that is to be a billionaire. It's preposterous to hear, but she said she'll achieve it either by hook or by crook. What a dreamer.

"But-"

"You're shy? Then, pay me when you get rich. I'll be welcoming all of your treats and I'll be choosing the most expensive things possible, Hahaha!"

I just laughed as response. Then I realised, we have money to pay for monthly rent now. I can buy Miya a new phone too!

"By the way, what are we even going to buy here?" I asked her.

"We'll buy a laptop, we'll buy two. One for each of us, we'll search about that Terrius guy you're talking about."

Really? So, you'll waste a fortune just to stalk a rich guy?

"Don't bother. We'll just be wasting money stalking that man, and what is it to you anyway? It's not like we can reach out to him and ask for financial help like we're looking for sugar daddies to backup our finances, are we? Tsk!"

"Yeah, it has nothing to do with me," she rolled her eyes. "But it has everything to do with you. You'll thank me one day for this, believe me."

"Whatever."

After spending hours in this goddamn laptop searching that man's name in this Starbook, I saw his name.

"Terrius Monzanto."
