The next two weeks saw a lot of changes. First, Rick and Debbie returned to Fing City. Their trip had been a huge success for Rick. Debbie had a new wardrobe and some maternity clothes. The couple had made a lot of memories together over the course of the tour. The day after their return, Old Wilson set up a meeting with his Young Master. He had so much to discuss with Rick. "Young Master! It is good to have you home. Shall we make a start on what's been happening since you have been away?" Rick had asked Old Wilson to come to Ting Gap for this meeting. Debbie was going to need a few days rest after the long trip home, and Rick wanted to be close by in case she needed anything. He took Old Wilson out by the pool so that they would not be over heard. "It's good to be home, Old Friend! Before we start on business, I have some news for your ears only. Debbie is carrying triplets! All boys. I can't seem to get my head around it yet." Old Wilson was amazed. "That is wonderful ne
Debbie had reluctantly called her mother after resting a while. The trip had been very exciting, but also very draining. She and Rick had decided that it was time to tell Lois about the pregnancy. They knew that she would be put out if she heard it from someone else. Debbie asked her to dinner at Ting Gap. Lois was hoping to put her devious plan into action soon, so this invitation might be just the time. When Lois arrived, Li Fan showed her out to the pool house where Debbie and Rick were already seated. They greeted Lois a bit stiffly, but Lois saw a few wrapped presents on a nearby table, so she didn't say much. "So how was your trip? Did everything go well?" Debbie and Rick took turns retelling their adventures while Lois listened enviously. Then Debbie handed Lois a few gifts that they had brought back for her. A labled handbag from Paris, an Egpytian scarf and a small pearl necklace from Greece that they had found on Santorini. Lois was impressed. Now it was time to b
While Old Wilson was still at Ting Gap, he had something to discuss with both Debbie and Rick. "Young Master, since you are both here, there is something that I must bring to your attention. I had a conversation with Ms. Madison at the office the other day. She has some concerns about her position. It seems one of the new clients, a Mr. Moss, intimidated her and made certain suggestions. He threatened to expose her if she didn't give in to his demands. I know of her background of course, so this kind of thing was bound to come up. My question is, how do you want to handle it?" Rick looked to Debbie for her views on the matter. Debbie sat in thought for a few moments. "Ms. Madison is an excellent worker. She leads her department with the utmost dignity. There is no room for disrespect from fellow employees or our clients where she is concerned. I will not have her targeted for this or any other reason. I am open to suggestions from either of you on how to deal with Mr. Moss and any
Alice had not told the family about her leaving Jelang. She wanted to wait until she knew for certain when she was going. Now the time had come to make the announcement. She walked up to her parents' house to tell them all. It was time for the evening meal, and as was their custom, most of the family would be present. As she walked in, she heard more talk about Rick and Debbie. Snide remarks by her brother Howard were the loudest. She ignored these, and went straight to the head of the table and asked her father to call the gathering to order, that she had something to say. Old Man Thomas was a bit taken aback, as Alice never had much to say about anything before. Alice cleared her throat and began. "I have an announcement. I will be leaving Jelang in the morning. I have been hired on as a nanny for a wealthy family in Fing City. My house here has been rented out, so I would ask that, if you would, just keep an eye out on it for me." The family was in shock. No one ever thought
The first day of the new work week found Debbie ready to go to the office early. After promising her worry wart husband that she would take it easy and not over do things, she drove herself to the office. Rick had wanted to take her himself, but Debbie insisted that she was fine and perfectly capable of driving herself. As she started going through the piles of paperwork that had accumulated in her absence, her assistant came rushing in unannounced. "What is the matter?" The asistant, who's name was Anita Cord, said "There is a man here to see the Chairman. But he said that he does not want to talk to any woman. Only the Chairman. Shall I send him in?" Debbie frowned at this, then replied "Yes, send him in." The man who walked into her office was a well known gangster in Fing City. His name was Joe Rhame. He had ruled over the business district for years as a standover man and con artist. The police had never been able to catch him, as his victims were too scared to pr
Mr. Moss was at work that day. He usually left the office in his assistant's capable hands, but today was different. He had to make a plan to trap Racheal Madison. He was tired of his present mistress, they had been seeing each other for years now. Time for a change. As he was thinking about this, his desk phone buzzed. His assistant informed him that he had a visitor. Not thinking, he said "Oh OK. Send them in." The door opened and a very large man dressed in all black stode up to his desk. Without further ado, the man said "I am General Han. And you will leave Ms. Racheal Madison alone. You are not to speak to her again. You are not to engage in any misconduct where she is concerned. The result would be disastorus for you if you do not heed my warning. Is that understood?" Mr. Moss was at first confused. Then he got angry. "Who are you to tell me what to do? Do you know who I am? You have no business here. Now you will leave or I will have security throw you out!"
General Han left Moss Construction Company and gave Old Wilson a call to report in. He felt that his warning to Mr. Moss had sunk in. Old Wilson asked the general to swing by his house in Silver Hill to have a meeting with Rick. So the general headed on over at once. "Hello General Han!" Rick greeted the older man with respect. He greatly admired the general's abilities. He was grateful to have him protecting his interests, including Debbie. General Han replied "Hello Mr. Green. It's good to have you back in Fing City. I trust your trip went well." "It was a big success, thank you. Now what have you to report since I've been away?" The general explained his recent recruitment effort, his desire for another training location with more land to utilize and his meetings with John Roberts from Tang. "As you can see, we have been moving forward with building a security force to service all of your needs now and in the future. Is there anything else that I should be aware of a
A few days before, Alice had arrived in Fing City. Debbie had picked her up from the train station and driven her to Silver Hill. On the way in, Debbie stopped at the gates to introduce her Aunt Alice to the guards posted there. She asked for her aunt to be given clearance to come and go as she required. Alice was impressed by the tight security. As they continued on toward Ting Gap, Alice remarked on the beauty of the area. "This is an amazing place. And to think that it is so close to everything, but in a peaceful and quite setting. I think that I will be very happy here." Debbie chuckled and replied "And you have not even seen the villa yet! We are so grateful to you for agreeing to help us. Even more so now that it's to be triplets! If this had happened a year ago, I have no idea how we would have been able to cope." Alice had a thought "How is your mother dealing with the news?" Debbie got a frown on her face. "I need to talk to you about Mom. She is livid that we asked
