Chapter 12- Rendezvous Beneath the Gazebo

Jamari’s POV

My mother is just the worst! My anger builds within me as I walk towards the side of the house and out towards the small maze of bushes my mother commissioned years ago.

I know I consider myself as essentially human, but for her to say I was human, and like I was beneath her, that is infuriating.

As a kid I would spend most of my days in the garden reading so I knew how to navigate the maze better than anyone. Clearing one last corner I see the gazebo set up in the center of the maze.

I walk over to the benches set up under the gazebo and take a seat, still fuming over my mother’s comments. I am not some charity case that needs to be married off to the first werewolf that is looking for a replacement.

I want passion and love. But most of all I want my mate. My other half that was made especially for me. I know I might not have one out there since I’m not technically a werewolf, but I was still born from two Alpha wolves, so there is still a chance.
