Darius

I thought rejecting that swine would be the last I know or hear about anything concerning her, but I didn't know it was the beginning of my problems.

“Just so you know…. You killed us.” My wolf whined from the condemning place he had decided to hide himself ever since I broke the mate bond.

As usual, I ignored him, flipping through pages of the complaints that were brought to my table.

“Keep ignoring me, it would change the truth. We've become weaker than we ever were and we're losing our hold on the throne. Your people are beginning to doubt your capabilities.”

Why did the heavens make it so that we could communicate with our wolves?

The knock on the door distracted me from my thoughts as I watched the door pushed open and Rafe, my beta, walked in.

“Alpha…” he began but I was too eager to cut him short.

“If it's not important, I don't want to hear it.”

“It's important.”

I dropped the book in my hand in anger, leaning back in my chair as I folded my arms and held his gaz

LyraThe pain was so maddening, my mind dragged me down memory lane of how much pain I ensured in the hands of Blood moon pack.I turned, using my fore limbs to push myself up whilst dragging my hind limbs to hold my weight. I turned my head towards the direction of the limb I felt the pain and I saw a silver arrow, engraved with a language I couldn't read. I wasn't allowed the liberty to think too far when I heard the snapping of a twig. “We're not alone.” My wolf mirrored the thought in my head. Turning toward the treeline, I stared intently towards the direction where I thought I heard the sound. My ears perked, waiting to hear something else.“Fuck!” I cursed as the pain seared even more. I wondered, surprised as to why the wound was yet to heal. At first, I saw nothing. Then they stepped out, three humans but I could tell they were wolves from their scent. I could see the way their eyes gleamed, with something more than hunger. Malice.“Well, well, well” one of them growled,

Lyra“What the hell?” I whispered to myself as I looked around the room, trying to make sense of what just happened. My eyes glazed towards the window and all I could see were night stars and reflection of the moon. It was a dream… or was it?I couldn't understand what I just saw, it looked so real. People I've never seen before, sorting me out and Darius coming here? What a fucking joke. Anger suddenly consumed me at the thought of Darius. Flinging the covers to the side, I got out of the bed and walked out into the open space I had turned into a little community for me and my rogues. “Going somewhere?” I was quick to bring out my claws, my eyes glowing at the sound of the voice. But when I turned, I relaxed. “It's me.” Marcus said, raising his hands in surrender. “Its the dead of the night, Marcus, what are you doing up?” I turned around and kept walking, the sounds of singing crickets interrupting my thoughts. “I couldn't sleep, I thought it'd be best to take a short walk ar

"Hayes," Lucian repeats, and I tried my best not to react. The surnname sparked histories I did not want to revisit. Vaughan-Hayes, Darius's half-brother. And apparently the orchestrator of everything that has been happening. The pieces click into place. The familiar scent that bothered me, the way his green eyes reminded me of Darius, the rogues who attacked me carrying traces of his scent. It wasn't a coincidence. It was all planned."You," I breathe, pulling my hand from his grip. "You sent them. The rogues who…""Who awakened your true power?" Lucian's mask finally slips, revealing the predator. His charming smile remains but this time it looked more sinister. "You should thank me, little silver wolf. Without that... encouragement, you'd still be scrubbing floors and dreaming of a mate who would never want you."Rage builds in my chest, not the hot youthful fury but something colder, more dangerous. Silver light begins to dance beneath my skin as my wolf stirs. Around us, my pack

Three months later, I stand before my pack of rogues and outcasts. Fifty strong and growing. They call me their Silver Queen, and for the first time in my life, I feel the weight of actual power. My pack has grown double the size in just a few months, way more than anything I thought we could achieve. Word spreads quickly in the rogue community about a silver wolf who commands shadows and shows mercy only to those who pledge their loyalty. We've made camp in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of New Orleans, far from pack territories but close enough to know what was going on in the wolf territories. My followers have made up a clean, livable space. They look at me in a way I’ve never been looked at before. Utmost respect. Whether for my strenght or my ability as a leader, but they adored me."Alpha," Marcus, one of my earliest converts, approaches with his head bowed. "The scouts report movement from Blood Moon territory. Their patrols are... restless."I nod, unsurprised. Dari

I wake to find my wounds healing so fast, it was visible to the eyes. My torn flesh came together without a single scar and just like that, it was gone. The pain is gone. Not just diminished, completely gone. I sit up, expecting the familiar agony of torn flesh and broken bones, but there's nothing. My body feels so light, as if I've never been injured at all.I look down at my arms, my legs, searching for the cuts and bruises I know should be there. Instead, I find smooth, unmarked skin that seems like I had been doing skincare for years. My skin seemed to have a silvery glow to it.What is this? What's happening to me?My senses explode with newfound clarity and it scared me a bit. I can hear every rustle of leaves in the canopy above, every footstep of forest creatures miles away. The scent of pine and earth fills my nostrils with overwhelming intensity. It feels bizarre, but surprisingly comfortable, like this is how I should have been a long time ago. I feel a rush over me.Power
