Kiara’s POV

A knock was heard throughout the Manor and I knew for a fact that neither Ryder nor Brandon would knock to gain entry into the Manor.

“Who could it be?” I questioned myself. The thought of it being the messenger of the elders, the elders themselves, or an intruder wanting to take her life scared me. I knew I was not safe in the hands of the members of the pack or with the elders.

The knock continued louder this time.

“Who do you seek,” I yelled so whoever stood at the other end of the door could hear me.

“You madame,” the voice responded.

Why would a man possibly I do not know of seek my presence? I wondered what I could do next and as if he read my mind he said,

“I was sent by the Alpha to come get you.”

I didn’t know if that was a trick or if it was the truth. But I doubted the authenticity of his words.

“How do I know I could trust your words,” I said to him.

“The Alpha knew it would result in this, so he gave me a letter with a piece of clothing he h

  • Rise of the rejected Luna    Liar, liar, pants on fire

Ryder’s POV The errand I had sent to Jason through Donald must have sunk in his head deeply. Donald returned and mentioned that Jason has agreed to meet up and my speculated date and time. I asked him to meet with me at the same field where I had met him for the first time. I knew he was someone who was not trustworthy, and allowing him into my Manor was a threat. It is best that we meet out on the fields with Brandon being present there, away from my pack and most importantly, away from Kiara. He arrived right on time, on the stipulated day, dressed in shades of browns that match his hair. He had a smirk on his face and I wanted nothing more than to punch it right out, but Brandon held me back. I filled Brandon in on what has been happening over time and he was as shocked and angry as I was about the stunt this Jason guy was trying to pull on Kiara. Although Brandon was angry, he controlled his emotions better than I did. “Howdy,” Jason said to us as he stopped his step right

  • Rise of the rejected Luna    Deed of the present

Ryder’s POV The reappearance of Kiara’s ex was not what I had signed in my books of the unexpected. First the rogues attack, then almost losing myself, the emergence of Kiara’s power, to the tussle of Kiara’s freedom with the elders, and now this? The appearance of Kiara’s ex from heaven knows where. When can we have a break? Setting my eyes on him for the first time in the field, I could see who he was. He wore arrogance like a mask, covering his whole personality. His ego shone beyond the stars and his voice was laced with pride each time he spoke. I wondered how and why Kiara could have been attracted to such a person who was completely opposite from her. He demanded to see Kiara like he owns her. Maybe he has forgotten that he has lost that right. Brandon on the other hand who was always gentle with things spoke to me about allowing Kiara to come over to the fields counteracting my decision to beat the daylight out of his arrogant self and the audacity he possessed so I coul

  • Rise of the rejected Luna    Muddy desires

The night passed by swiftly as I was unbothered by Jason’s unpleasant visit. I was ready to move past it, looking forward to the new day, and a new light. I said a silent prayer as I looked out of the window this morning, praying that Jacob should not find his way anywhere around this pack. I was already facing a lot of other cases, and I had no room for another. I decided to go outside of the Manor, so I could receive the sunlight the morning produced. I was greeted by a basket lying on the front porch. The basket was wrapped in a purple transparent wrapper. “Who could this be for,” I said to myself as I bent to pick the basket. Luckily, I found a card attached to the basket. I recognized the handwriting on it and I knew this basket was from the man I detested the most. Why would he do this? Does he think this would change my mind? Mere gifts, for a broken heart? “Jason would never change. True to himself and his nasty attitude,” I whispered. I had no interest in unravell

  • Rise of the rejected Luna    A dose of dismay

Kiara POV “What do you want?” I blurted out to Jason angrily. He was wrong if he thought that he could just walk into my life after rejecting me publicly. His sight irritates me. I couldn’t believe the man standing right here is one I once loved. “To take you back with me babe. I know I messed up but I am here to correct it all,” he replied. “Correct it all? Really? What exactly do you want to amend?” I questioned him. I waited for him to reply, but as expected he had nothing good to say. “I thought as much. You chose your Luna already, the one who has her wolf correct. So why are you here, wanting to take a wolfless freak? “ I said to him and still he doesn’t answer. “What happened? A cat cut your tongue?” I yelled at him angrily. “I know you are pissed at me. This isn’t the first time you've gotten angry at me babe. We would work this out. But not in front of these strangers, come back home with me,” he said. “Home? With you? Jason this is my home, these men you referr

  • Rise of the rejected Luna    Twirl from the past

Brandon’s POV I was glad I had listened to Ryder’s idea on preparing a night with such an atmosphere for Kiara. Indeed she was troubled and stressed. The first glance at her at the door of the Manor where she stood, I could see the worry behind her eyes. That gave me more motivation to ensure she was better. The night went by so well and when we woke up the next morning, I couldn’t help but stare at her, admiring her like I had just seen her for the first time. Everything about her was perfect. Who would have thought that this trio relationship would have worked between us? Last night was totally worth it. With the way she looked at us both, to how we held me around her hands and in her mouth. This has been the best decision Ryder and I have made in unison. We ate breakfast in silence, as we were all exhausted from last night’s rollercoaster. I noticed Kiara’s cheeks were red throughout us having breakfast. Ryder on the other hand, was his usual quiet self. We didn’t know where
