Hidden agenda

I wake up still angry about my father handing my security over to the arrogant Booi asshole. I believe him that he did not put my name on the web. His actions so far look coincidental and opportunistic, but I know my father. He is always up to something. Even if this was the only way to keep me in line and safe, he definitely has a hidden agenda and I need to know what it is.

I walk into the sitting room and decide to give both Father and Hunter a silent treatment. They exchanged amused looks before Father greets.

“Good morning, Sweetheart,” my father beams, standing up and kissing my forehead. I just stare at him and his lips lift up into a smile. That breathtaking smile melts the hardest of hearts and he knows it. His hair and eyebrows may be all greyed out, but Nick Davi is still one of the oldest handsome men in the mafia world.

“Still mad at your old man?”he asks, amused.

I roll my eyes and pick an apple I will have for breakfast.

He laughs at my reaction
