*****Leo POV*****

I calmly walk away from the Davi estate as if my heart is not pounding. My hand shakes slightly when I get in and hammer my V6 turbocharged beast out of there. I give out a sigh of relief when the devil’s estate disappears from my rear view mirror and no drones are flying above me. My hand continues to shake as I ponder at how my life could have easily ended. I can’t believe that I chatted with death and lived to tell the tale. I am more relieved when I pull up at my driveway. I’m even glad to see my irritating cousin standing outside.

“Where have you been?” Owen asks the moment I step out of the car and just like that, my gladness disappears. He’s been on the urge and even paranoid lately. I guess knowing that you might not live beyond two months can do that to one.

I grin at him, knowing what his reaction will be to my response.

“Our lives are in danger, you idiot. You can’t just disappear without a word,” he says with a strain on his voice.
