Alice walked back and forth trying to mindlink her aunt but to no avail, even though she knew it was impossible to connect her, but still she didn't want to give up, maybe just maybe some miracle would happen and she would be able to reach out to her. She wanted to talk to her aunt, wanted to know if she was alright or not. What if Raymond had done to her something after Alice's departure? She didn't trust her previous Alpha slightest bit, she knew the extent of his cruelty, she had lived it. Just to get back at her, he wouldn't mind hurting her aunt, she was sure of it.

Finally giving up on her tries she paused at the end the room looking at the floor with despaired eyes, she was so lost that she didn't even hear someone entering the room until, "You can't connect to her," A familiar deep voice broke her thoughts making her turn to the person right away.
