Alessandra's POV.

I barely registered the event.

I couldn’t move. I couldn’t do anything.

Once dinner was over, I left.

I came home, shut the door behind me, and leaned against it slowly my legs gave out until I was sitting on the floor with my knees pulled to my chest.

How could he?

Why would he?

My knees dropped slightly as the questions kept circling in my head

When I felt a tear slide down my cheek, I wiped it away immediately.

No way I’m crying for him again.

That’s when I felt something soft nudge against my leg with gentle licks.

"Lu," I whispered, and she looked up at me, tilting her head like she understood.

"What do you think?"

She blinked, then licked my knee again.

"I should move out. I don’t think I can stay here."

My fingers sank into her fur as I rubbed her head, and i walked to my room and pulled out a suitcase. I didn’t overthink it. I just packed what I needed. The rest could stay.

I zipped the bag shut and carried it downstairs when I

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Sixty two -Her wife

Alessandra's POV I woke up to see Killian next to me, his face calm, his breathing steady, and I just laid down watching him.......how was someone like him even real That's when I noticed we were moving and I fully registered we were still in the car but it was morning already I sat up slowly and adjusted the seat, stretching out my neck. That was when the car finally rolled to a stop. "How are we just getting here?" I asked my voice low, still scratchy from sleep. "I drove the whole night" he said casually, reaching into the back seat for his cane. My eyes lingered on it. He still had a bad leg. Why would he do that to himself? He glanced at me. "How was your night?" It was one of the best I'd had in a long time but no way I'm saying that. I sank into the chair and pouted. "It was uncomfortable. Felt like someone was watching me the whole time." "That would be me," he said, unbothered. "I'm going to head inside, good morning." He turned to the door so he coul

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Sixty One - Butterfly in the Rain

Alessandra's POV. "Hi Mom.....how have you been?" I said quietly placing a fresh bouquet on her grave. "I'm sorry I haven't visited as much. Life's been.....a lot and Dad doesn't like it when I come here, but today’s an exception." I sat cross-legged on the grass and started talking. About everything.....I didn't tell her how awful my life was I didn't want her to worry. I talked about my perfect fake life until my voice got hoarse. Eventually, I checked the time. Three hours had passed. Neither Alex nor Dad had shown up. I waited, I tried calling Alex. but it went straight to voicemail. Our last few conversations already felt one-sided again, but she wouldn’t miss this. She wouldn’t forget today. I kept telling myself that. After another hour, I left to find something to eat. Ended up at a diner not far from the cemetery. The kind with chipped mugs and a waitress who called everyone “sweetheart.” I didn’t even finish my food before I dozed off in the booth. When I

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty nine- The Other Girl at the Table

Alessandra's POV "Something you'd like to share with your old man?" My father asked again, and I instinctively stepped back. "Nothing, Papa. Just lost in thought," I said, keeping my eyes anywhere but on his face. "Ah......how are we doing over here?" Ronan’s voice drifted into the room, light and sarcastic. "Castillo, I didn’t think you’d be in here. I thought you came to see me. I’m hurt." My dad shifted his expression quickly, schooling his face into something warmer. "Well, I hardly see my princess these days," he said, brushing his hand through my hair like he had every right to. I sucked in a breath but smiled anyway. "I had to catch a glimpse of her. Make sure she looks like my princess" "Now I feel left out, I should go see if Lia is still up for having a daughter."Ronan said with a light chuckle "While I hate to break this up, Castillo, we have business to discuss." The air shifted again. Ronan didn’t wait for permission. "How are the private prisons coming along?"

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty eight - Make Her Believe It

Alessandra's POV I hated that I left more than anything and I still missed breakfast. But Ronan wasn’t mad he just smiled when he saw me. Like he was happy I showed up at all...I was just happy he didn’t ask about Jeremy. That would’ve been… a lot. When I finally made it to my room, it was already buzzing. Stylists, makeup artists, too many hands touching my face and I had to let them do their thing just as someone was finishing my eyeliner—there was a knock. Soft. Hesitant. A second later, the door creaked open and… of course. Lia. She peeked her head in like a guilty teenager sneaking home past curfew, I've been avoiding her for weeks now. It was easier that way. Easier not to look at her. Not to remember she existed. But then she stepped inside. She wasn’t even dressed yet she was putting on a thick robe her lips were swollen—like someone had been biting them. There were faint handprints on her neck. And the look on her face? Radiant. Glowing in that post-fu

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty Seven - Don't Go

Killian's POV "Do you wanna explain? And you better have something good to say because there’s a high chance I’m still going to kill you." My voice was firm, the second Alessandra fell asleep, I peeled myself away from her quietly and carefully just to Come here. And there he was. Jeremy. Drinking, while I found the outlet for my monsters in painting and Violence he found his in a bottle, parties and Violence....he could drink a truckload of bourbon and you won't even tell the difference. “It’s not that big of a deal" he said, not even looking at me. “We’re getting married anyway. And besides… she was leading me on.” “You’re blaming her?” I asked He turned to me, eyes lazy with liquor and arrogance. “Who do you want me to blame .....Me?” He let out a soft chuckle and I clenched my fists. Every nerve in my body screamed to end this right here. Right now. There was one thing my entire being knew if anyone disrespected Alessandra - kill them Touched her....kill
