~RHEA~ As soon as Zander moved away, only then did my eyes trailed towards Chase.He had a jealous look on his face as he stared at Zander and I. ~RHEA~We had to drive out of school to get to this boutique, and I could smell the expense before we even walked in.The boutique exuded quiet luxury. Polished marble floors gleamed beneath soft lightening while designer pieces hugged neatly on the widely spaced racks. There were no flashy displays or sale signs, just understated elegance that spoke of wealth. It was the kind of place that one had to ask for the price, then they definitely didn't belong here.That person was me because I definitely didn't fit in.“Zander” I called out softly as I tugged on his arm, and he leaned down slowly. “I don't think it's wise for us to be in here”I whispered in his ear, and he chuckled before walking further into the boutique, leaving me standing there dumbfounded.After a while, I followed behind him and watched as the store manager greeted him with a bright smile on her face.“Mr Cole, it's good to see you here again” She uttered, and I frowned. ~RHEA~ My heart was racing as I stared at Chase.Why was he suddenly being this way?“Let go of me, Chase. Someone is going to see us like this and…”“So what? You were once mine…”“But she isn't yours anymore so if you want to keep your teeth, I'd suggest you back off her” I turned towards the voice and my eyes widened as I watched Zander walk over to us.Chase's hold on me softened and I managed to push him away before stepping towards Zander.He didn't spare me a glance and I suddenly felt guilt growing in my stomach which confused me.I wasn't doing anything wrong so why did I feel guilty?“I was just talking to her…”“She gave you plenty of time to talk earlier but you demeaned her instead so fucking stay away from her or I'll make you stay away permanently” Zander uttered.Despite his calm tone, Chase knew better than to doubt his words.“I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'll only stay away from her if that's what she wants” Chase muttered before his eyes met mine.

~CHASE~ I was seething with rage as I watched Zander and Rhea.
