"Dad!"

"You are going to welcome them with open arms young lady!"

"This is so unfair! I shouldn't have to want them here just because you decided! I don't want a step mom, I don't need one and now you're having her kid move in too! I haven't even met him."

"Stop your whining, you haven't met him, I know, but he's a good kid and he's coming here without knowing anyone plus starting a new school, you will be nice."

"Ugh, who told you to run off and marry someone anyway!?"

I stormed down the hall before slamming my bedroom door closed.

I can't believe my father just up and decides he's in love with this woman after dating for only a few months.

They went away for a weekend get away and he comes home to tell me they eloped!

Now she is moving into our home, but not just her, her son is coming as well.

Completely absurd! Not just sharing my house with these people but my bathroom as well.

My bedroom is a Jack and Jill style, connected to the bedrooms, I use the second room for my artistic outlet but now I have to move everything to make room for some guy I don't even know.

This is all just so crazy, it's happening way to fast.

I should introduce myself, sorry about that.

My name is Freya, I'm 16 but will be turning 17 in a few weeks, I'm a Junior at Belleview High, I'm part of the art club along with the photography club, I have straight A's which has always made my dad proud of me.

I am finally out of that awkward teenage stage where my head was to big for my body, plus I'm no longer built like a little boy.

I have long black hair, green eyes that have an amber color around the pupil, I love my eyes, mom and dad used to fight about my eyes, dad says hazel, mom said green so I say green too, I long black eyelashes that most girls get jealous over because I don't need fake ones or mascara, I'm only 5'4" but I love being short, I'm perfectly proportioned with a tiny waist and bubble butt, with a perfectly full C cup, pretty proud of those actually, thought I'd be flat forever.

Basically, I find myself to be pretty, but I don't exactly flaunt it, I tend to dress down not really wanting the attention on me, go figure right? I sound super conceited talking about myself but honestly it makes me feel a bit insecure.

I've never had to share my space before, I've also never had to share my dad before either.

It's been just the two of us since I was 8, my mom passed away from a car accident on her way to work after dropping me off at school, it broke his heart but we always had one another, that's all we ever needed, until now I guess.

He started dated this woman, Jenna, she's nice, pretty with her shoulder length brown hair, blue eyes, killer smile, but I guess I just never thought it would be serious.

I've met her a couple time but that's it so dad up and marrying her was a complete shock.

I've never met her son but apparently he lives with her full time so he is moving in here with her.

Thinking on all of this more, wow, I sounded like such a brat to my dad, I should just be happy for him, I know I should, but it's hard to think of someone else being here, in my moms space, taking her place.

Dad will say "She isn't taking anyone's place, she's going to have her own place and isn't trying to be your mom"

Logical right? But still doesn't feel right.

I should go apologize to him, my dad has always put me first over the years, he's been there for me through everything, but he's had no one to help him through everything.

"Be happy for him!" I stared into my mirror at myself trying to work up the courage to plaster a smile on my face for his sake.

It's not like her son must be to excited to be coming here either, leaving his friends and home to come here to start over.

Hopefully he isn't a dick, ew or gross considering having to share a bathroom, I do not want to constantly have to clean up after him.

**bzzzzz bzzzzz**

My phone went off showing a text from Addy, my best friend.

'Soooooo, what's the surprise from your dad!?'

Oh right, so my dad told me he had a big surprise for me when he got home from his weekend away, as you already know, he got married, that was MY surprise.

'He married Jenna, she, along with her son, are moving in this week'

'Woah! Seriously!? How did that go?'

'Oh you know, I acted like a giant spoiled brat then stormed off to my room'

'Shit girl, I'm sorry, how old is her kid?'

'He's 17, I think, I've never met him! Now he's taking my second room and sharing my bathroom! Dad said I have to move all my stuff out today to make room for him.'

'17! So he's coming to our school then? Is he hot?'

'Seriously Addy! That's where your mind goes, is he hot? Yes he's going to be coming to our school...'

'Sorry... Want me to come over to help you get that room cleaned out?'

'Sure, I could use the company honestly.'

Putting my phone down I smacked my cheeks a bit before opening my door and heading downstairs to my find my dad making us some lunch.

"Dad... I'm sorry." I put my head down feeling embarrassed by how I reacted to something that made him happy.

"I shouldn't have acted like that, I should have been happy for you, I am happy for you, it was just a shock."

"I know baby girl, I was so caught up in how I was feeling I didn't think about how this was going to change your life so drastically, and quickly too."

"Addy is on her way over"

"Freya I don't...."

"She is coming to help me clean out the room for, ummm, what's his name again actaully?"

"His name is Andrew, he isn't exactly thrilled about all of this either you know. It's going to be an adjustment for us all but if we work together we can make it happen."

He looked at me with his big green eyes, oh yeah, main reason I like the way I look is because I'm basically the spitting image of my mother, besides my eyes, those are dads.

"Okay dad" I said while grabbing a sandwich before rushing to the door as a knock started.

Addy only lived 2 streets over so it never takes long for her to get here.

"Come on, let's go get started" I said handing her half my sandwich as we started up the stairs.

"Hi Mr. Lothbrok!" Addy shouted "Congrats on the wife".

"Really? 'The wife' just a congrats would have sufficed" then we laughed going into the room.

Walking into the room I looked around, dad already brought in some clear totes for me to put my stuff in, he said we could turn the small room downstairs into my little studio if I wanted, or I could move my room around to make everything fit.

Honestly there wasn't a ton of stuff, I just liked the extra space for my books and whatnot.

I could probably fit everything in my room but then it would be a bit claustrophobic.

A couple hours later Addy and I had the room all packed up, we stacked everything up against a wall in my bedroom except my easel, that was up in my room with a current painting still set on it.

My dad had made us dinner so we headed down to eat before Addy left to go back home, dad dropped her off because it had gotten dark out while we sat around laughing while we eating.

I heard someone at the door while I was cleaning up the kitchen, thinking it was my dad I just kept cleaning up when I felt eyes on me, suddenly feeling very insecure as I turned to face the hottest guy I had ever laid eyes on.

"Holy shit!" I yelled in shock while he dawned a mischievous smile on his face as he let out a chuckle while looking me up and down.

"Didn't mean to scare you" his tone was low and husky sending a shiver down my spine as I stood there in shock when I realized I was wearing tiny pj shorts and a tank top, my hair thrown up in a messy bun, with dried paint on me.

"You just startled me, that's all, I thought you were my dad." He just kept watching me making me feel uncomfortably on display. I dried my hands off before walking closer to him.

"I guess your Andrew? Where's your mom?"

"She isn't coming until tomorrow, she gave me a key so I decided to come by tonight to drop off some of my stuff, hope that's okay. Where's your dad?" He placed the keys down on the counter that stood between us.

"Oh, I can show you the room that will be yours if you want. My dad should be back in a minute, he went to drop off my friend while I cleaned up after dinner."

"Got ya, lead the way... umm.. Fre..."

"It's Freya, my mom had a thing for the old Norse Gods" I then walked around the counter to the stairs as he followed me up to the bedroom door that will now be his.

"This is it"

"Where is your room?"

"Just there" I pointed a bit down the hall to my door, then to the door at the end of the hall on the left "That's my dad's, or I guess, our parents room now"

"The bathroom is?"

"Oh, right... um we kind of share that now, the bathroom is between our rooms so we need to work that out."

He stood there staring at me, I swear he licked his lips but I shook it off as he finally turned to open the door.

"Nice. Guess I can bring everything considering it's empty."

"Oh yeah, I used this for my art, like painting and whatnot so no furniture besides that" I pointed to the comfy chair in the corner that used to be next to a small bookshelf I had there.

"Didn't get a chance to move that yet, sorry."

Just then I heard the door open and close down stairs.

"Frey? Who is here?"

"I am Mr. Lothbrok, my mom said it should be fine for me to come bring a few things that fit in my truck tonight."

He turned to look at me, I felt that same shiver up my spine before the heat creeping to my cheeks making me turn my head.

"Alright, well I'll leave you to it. Umm oh and uh welcome to our home?"

I turned down the hall to my door, opening it when he called out

"Hey Freya?"

"Hmm?" I desperately wanted to shower and clean up, he had me feeling things I never had before and I needed to cover myself to feel more secure in my new surroundings.

"Can't wait to get to know you" his eyes flickered dangerously "all of you" my heart jumped before I closed my door then leaned against it.

"What the hell does that mean?"

I locked my door, then entered the bathroom locking his side of the door before striping down to shower.

"Damn, he makes me nervous, but in a good way which is so wrong."

Staring at my reflection I looked at myself, "I need to get those thoughts out of my head instantly" I told myself as I shook my head.

'One time won't hurt though, right?'
