SELENA'S POV

The city lights blurred past my tear-streaked face. The road wound farther from the cathedral, from Enzo’s lifeless body, from my shattered wedding.

And yet something else... something darker, had been etched into my mind... the calm, untouched face of a man who seemed to view my tragedy as nothing more than a scene in a play he’d directed.

Two hours later, Alessio steered us into a hidden underground passage beneath an abandoned industrial complex on the city’s outskirts.

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 32 (R18+)

DRACO'S POVI watched the defiance in her eyes flicker and die, replaced by that intoxicating, heavy glaze of arousal. Even now, with her breathing hitching and her hips pressing unconsciously into the palm of my hand, a cold, hard voice in the back of my mind whispered caution. She’s a plant. The thought tasted like ash and copper. No matter how wet she got for me, no matter how sweetly she whimpered my name, I couldn’t afford to trust her... not until she confessed herself. The rival syndicate would love nothing more than to slip a knife between my ribs, and Selena... with her sharp tongue and hidden glances, was just dangerous enough to be their weapon. So, I wouldn't make love to her. I would use her. I’d strip away every ounce of her pride until there was nothing left of the spy, only the body that answered to me."Look at you, trembling like a caged bird," I murmured, my voice dropping to a harsh rasp as I gripped her jaw tightly, forcing her to hold my gaze. "You think you ca

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 31 (R18+)

DRACO'S POVThe sound of her ragged, betrayed breath was the sweetest symphony this damned house had ever produced.I looked down at her, seeing the remnants of her fierce, useless rebellion melting away like wax under a blowtorch.Selena... my little defiant stray, masquerading as a high-society ghost, playing a dangerous game she was never equipped to win.She thought she could infiltrate the Castellano inner circle? She thought those encrypted comms tucked away in her boots and her little whispered secrets were safe from me?Amateurs... all of them. "Look at me," I growled, my fingers curling tighter into the silk of her hair, forcing her chin up until her wide, dark eyes locked onto mine. Her chest heaved, breasts pressing against the restrictive fabric of her dress, desperate for air, desperate for release. "You think you can play with fire, Selena, but you don't even know how to burn." "Go to hell, Draco," she spat, though the venom in her voice lacked its usual bite. It was a

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 30

SELENA'S POVThe heavy mahogany door didn’t just open... it splintered inward with the force of a battering ram. I didn’t flinch or at least, I tried desperately not to.I stood by the high, barred window of the guest suite that had so quickly become my gilded cage, my fingers curling tightly into the fabric of my trousers.Draco Castellano filled the doorway, his silhouette blocking out the dim hallway light like an eclipse. His dark coat was dusted with the soot of a burned empire, his eyes burning with a manic, dangerous energy that made every survival instinct I possessed scream in silent warning. He locked the door behind him with a heavy, final click. The sound echoed like a gunshot in the quiet room."You look entirely too comfortable for a captive, Selena," Draco murmured, his voice dropping into that low, lethal hum that vibrated straight down my spine. He stalked toward me, each step deliberate, like a panther closing the distance on a trapped deer."I am not your captive, D

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 29

DRACO'S POV"Quiet is not a word in this family's vocabulary, Draven," I muttered, leaning my hip against the edge of a mahogany cabinet and crossing my arms over my chest. "And I assure you, my conscience remains as black and vacant as ever."Diavolo snorted, taking a slow sip of his scotch before wincing as a bruised rib protested the movement. "Damn right it is. Though I have to admit, getting ambushed like that by the Doscher rats? It stings. Literally.""They got lucky," Draven snapped, his eyes flashing with a sudden, vicious spark as he sat up straighter, the casual boredom vanishing instantly. "A coordinated blind-side in the lower docks? Coward's tactics... If we’d had five more minutes to reposition, we would have fed their entrails to the harbor dogs.""They only managed to draw first blood because they caught us while our guard was split," I added, my voice dropping into a low, lethal hum that made the air in the room instantly heavy. "But temporary advantages don't win wa

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 28

DRACO'S POVThe heavy oak door clicked shut, the sound muffled by the thick paneling of the medical suite, but the lingering ghost of her heat still burned against my chest."Selena, I will wreck you soon... just wait." I promised myself.I stood there in the dim, antiseptic-smelling gloom, staring at the empty space she had occupied just a second ago. My left arm screamed in protest, a hot, vicious spike of agony shooting from my shoulder down to my fingertips, but I barely registered it.My blood was still humming. Not from the adrenaline of the firefight with the Doscher Corps, and not from the bullet burrowed deep in my muscle. It was her... it was the frantic, panicked rhythm of Selena’s pulse against my palm, the way her eyes had blazed with fury, and the intoxicating, trembling vulnerability she tried so desperately to mask behind venomous words."Boss?" The voice echoed through the heavy wooden door again, accompanied by the dull, impatient thud of knuckles... it was Marcus."

  • Ruining Draco   CHAPTER 27

SELENA'S POVThe suffocating heat of his body burned right through the silk of my robe, pressing me flush against the heavy oak door. His large hand remained clamped firmly over my mouth, suffocating my indignant cries, while his uninjured right arm wrapped around my waist like a steel band."Mmph! Let go of me, you arrogant, bleeding lunatic!" I thrashed against him, driving my elbow backward with enough force to crack a rib.Draco didn’t even flinch. He simply grunted, absorbing the blow, his grip tightening until I was entirely immobilized.Slowly, agonizingly slow, his hand slid away from my mouth, trailing up over my jaw to cup my cheek, his thumb dragging across my lower lip.The metallic scent of fresh blood clung to his skin, mixed with the sharp, intoxicating musk of sweat and adrenaline that always seemed to follow him like a dark halo."Careful, pet," Draco whispered against the shell of my ear, his voice rough with exhaustion yet laced with that infuriating, predatory amus
