Chapter 53 Overjoyed

Skye’s POV

After hearing Gab’s words, I felt like my soul had departed my body. The pain became unbearable, and maybe a part of me wanted to deny hearing and admitting the facts of Gab’s words if they happened to bear any. My sanity and my brain seemed to close any window of possibility to perceive Gab’s words and escape to wherever I could go to avoid reality.

I closed my eyes as I seemed to drift into an unknown world, like a paradise of serene silence, comforting peace, and soothing calmness.
