Laila's POV

“We'll talk about all that later for now Damien needs help, he's bleeding too much!”

The guards finally trooped in and my eyes narrowed suspiciously.

Did Fiona trick us again?

Two guards moved to lift Damien, while others stood frozen, unsure whether to help or flee.

“Hurry!” Fiona yelled again, clutching Damien’s face, her tears streaking down her cheeks. “Please, he’s losing consciousness—move!”

They hoisted him up, carrying him toward the door.

Rashford muttered, “I’ll be leaving too. This has gone too far.”

“Go,” Kieran snapped. “All of you can leave.”

One by one they left until what remained was Kieran, Alex, me, and the fallen assassins.

Kieran’s gaze snapped to the one who had lied on his name. “You,”Kieran lunged.

It happened so fast I couldn’t even process it—one second he was across the room, the next his hand was buried in the man’s chest. There was a sound—a sickening, wet crack. The man screamed once, then went silent as Kieran ripped his heart out.
