Angry Carole

Suddenly, a figure dashed out of the bushes and immediately pulled her in after covering her mouth.

Veronica was too scared to make a noise. The earlier gun shots had made her go numb.

Minutes later, Veronica snapped back to reality and realized her mouth was covered by a warm and sticky palm. She instinctively wanted to scream but the person behind her seemed to have noticed and immediately stopped her.

"If you don't want to die at such a young age, do not scream", Sebastian whispered with difficulty. The bullets that had pierced him were now taking a toll on his body. He knew he was losing a lot of blood due to his movements but he had to do it, to remain safe. Using his hands to stop the blood from flowing out was useless so he let it fall freely.

He had noticed the lady happily walking and wanted to leave her be but he didn't realize when he had risked his life and pulled her back in.

Why did I save her? What the hell is wrong with me?, Sebastian asked himself while his breath fanned Veronica's neck unknowingly.

Meanwhile, as soon as Veronica heard his voice, a a sharp pain shot from her head and left as fast as it came. Not thinking too much about it, Veronica began thinking. If they were to be caught in this suggestive position in another situation, Veronica would have blushed deeply as she had not been tightly pressed unto a man. She was an actress but her father was always monitoring her roles like mother hen. Although, he never used his power to secure roles for her even when she had just debuted five years ago.

Veronica remained frozen as her capturer's breath fanned her neck. Sounds of gunshots snapped her back to reality. Soon, the pounding of boots were heard and it was noisy.

"Search the area! We must not lose him this time. He must be killed!". As soon as Veronica heard this, her eyes couldn't get any bigger. Kill? Him?Why?, Veronica thought as she remained still. She had never encountered a fate as this in her twenty two years on earth.

Thirty minutes passed and the vicinity grew eerily quiet. Coupled with the dark night, it gave Veronica goose bumps on her exposed legs.

She felt the man behind her shift, and poke his head out of the bushes to confirm if the coast was clear.

"You may...", Veronica heard the man say before she heard a loud thud.

She immediately spun around and the sight before her made her heart pound. Her breathing became ragged and unstable. Veronica held her chest as she tried to stable her breathing. 'No! Not now! This seriously can't be happening ', Veronica mumbled in unstable breath.

Like her words were heard, soon, her breathing was normal and stable. Veronica sighed in Glee and sat on the muddy floor. She couldn't be bothered with her clothes getting dirty when she had almost lost her life.

Looking at the bloodied Sebastian was an eye sore to Veronica. She took her phone out, wanting to call the cops but thinking about everything that happened, she chose not to.

Staring at Sebastian, she couldn't make out his face even if she tried. His face was painted in red! Veronica then recalled he had used his palm to cover her mouth. Immediately, her hand flew to the area around her mouth and she felt something wet and sticky. Veronica decided against checking what it was cause she didn't want to have another attack again.

She was in a dilemma as she stared at the unconscious figure. It was at this point that Veronica regretted ever not listening to her father and manager who by now would be fuming mad.

Sure enough, in a hotel suite not far away from Veronica's location, Carole paced about in Veronica's room.

As soon as the last scene was shot that evening, she had grown suspicious of Veronica when she announced she was going to sleep. She had chose to believe her bit after some time, her heart grew unsettled and she came to check on her. Much to her displeasure, Veronica was not in her room. She had searched the whole suite but Veronica had proven to be stubborn once again. She slapped her forehead and sighed. How could she not have known that Veronica was up to no good the moment she said she was going to sleep?

She was puzzled about how veronica was smart enough to trick the hotel guards in letting her out.

Not wanting to create chaos and disturb other co actors and workers who were sleeping, Carole chose to wait in the suite for Veronica. She knew that sooner or later, Veronica would appear just as she had disappeared.

On the other side;

Veronica shook her head and chose to deal with the problem at hand. How the hell was she supposed to carry the man who appeared to weigh twice her weight all by herself?

Veronica lighted a candle for herself in her heart.

The light from the moon was enough for her to see her surroundings.

Crawling towards Sebastian, Veronica tapped him on his cheek to see if she'd get any response but it proved to be futile.

Sighing deeply, Veronica painstakingly pulled him to a sitting position. Then, she rose to her feet and bent to his height.

Holding her packets of candies in her left hand, Veronica draped Sebastian's right hand across her neck, on her right shoulder.

She held him by his waist with her left hand and that was the moment she noticed the blood slowly seeping out of his body.

Veronica shook in fright and immediately took a step while pulling him along.

Soon, they were out in the open and Veronica was sweating like someone who has been running nonstop.

Grunting and sighing could be heard in the eerily quiet street. Any human would have thought an intimate session was going on.

Ten minutes later, Veronica sighed in Glee as she stared up at her hotel suite.

Oh! What a wonderful journey, she mumbled, unaware of the pair of eyes staring at her in the dark.
