Cops

She knew there was no way she'd carry someone in without the others suspecting. Veronica was deep in thoughts and didn't realize her shoulder was beginning to get sore. Like she had found hope once again, her eyes lit up. Well...no one would suspect if she carried her travelling bag right?

To avoid suspicion from the hotel staffs and unknown lurking paparazzis, she dumped Sebastian in a hidden corner by the hotel and stealthily crept up to her suite using the iron ladder she used to escape.

Just as she arrived at her suite, hoping to get her her travelling bag as soon as she emptied its content on her bed.

She heaved a sigh of relief as soon as she entered her suite like a criminal. Not wanting others to know she was awake, Veronica chose not to switch on the lights as she used her sixty sense to search for the bag.

She had just pumped her fist in triumph when the room was suddenly lit by a bright light causing her eyes to reflexively close and she jumped in fright as she managed to restrain herself from shrieking.

"Where the hell have you been?," Lo and behold, at the corner of the room sat a fuming Carole who was on the verge of exploding.

"Hehe..," Veronica smiles sheepishly, short of words and no excuse to give. Knowing she had to go out again, she realized lying to Carole was fruitless.

"I'm sorry for not telling you but I need you to hear me out. I want you to help me with something. Will you?," Veronica asked sighing.

Although Carole was still fuming she knew something was up due to how serious Veronica looked so she had no choice but to give in to her.

"What is it?" She asked still glaring at Veronica who chose to ignore the lasers piercing through her body.

"So I went to get snacks as usual and ...," Veronica narrated everything that happened and the next moment, a strong 'thump' was heard.

"Ouch ...what did you do that for?," Veronica asked, rubbing her forehead Carole had just knocked.

"Are you seriously asking me that? You deserve more!" Carole Seether and glared at Veronica who moved her body away in fright.

Suddenly, something struck Veronica and she remembered the bullet wound Sebastian had. She silently prayed he'd be fine as she picked up her empty travelling bag and ran out of the room using the normal entrance. Carole could only shake her head hoping Veronica didn't get into any trouble.

Meanwhile Veronica greeted the attendants and gave an excuse of going to meet someone with her bag. The naive attendants were fangirling, not caring about what Veronica said.

The latter ran out of the hotel and went to the corner where she had dumped Sebastian.

Thanking her stars her travelling bag was big enough for Sebastian, Veronica painstakingly kept him in the duffel bag and zipped it up to the required amount.

Thinking it'll be easier to pull him because of the wheels of her travelling bag, Veronica happily began pulling but soon grunted the moment her foot collided with a stone. With teary eyes, she managed to pull the bag to the hotel reception office where the attendants and receptionist stood chattering away.

Hearing someone grunt, they all turned their attention towards Veronica who was surprisingly back. Two of them, a man and a woman immediately ran to her.

"Let us help you pull that ma'am. It looks heavy," the male receptionist offered as he watched as Veronica was drenched in sweat.

"Thank you!" Veronica immediately said, like she had been expecting their offer.

Together, they all pulled the bag to her suite and by the time they arrived there, they were all drenched in sweat.

"Thank you so much. I'll take it from here," Veronica smiled as she gave them tips.

Happy that they had gotten such heavy tips, the receptionist and attendant both bounced away happily.

Veronica didn't have to ring the bell of her suite before the door was pushed open.

Leaning on the door side was Carole whose eyebrows were raised on seeing the sweaty Veronica.

"Hel...lo, help me out here," Veronica said exasperated and both pulled the bag into her suite.

Immediately, Veronica pulled the bag open and Sebastian was still unconscious. Seeing that she was no doctor and he couldn't be taken to the hospital, Veronica chose to call her father telling him she needed a doctor urgently.

Meanwhile Mr. Smith who was suddenly called thought his only daughter had met with an accident grew anxious.

Veronica had just dropped the call when a knock on the door was heard, followed by a voice.

"Hello, we are the police officers and we're here for a thorough examination."
