He was on his knees and Orie stood beside him, placing a hand on his head. The room was dark and was lit by seven candles, and there was no one else in the room with them. Though all the doors and windows in the room were closed an intense wind blew within it. Gradually, the wind got stronger and blew ferociously around the empty room. 78: The goal ahead The new world tournament was one unique tournament. Despite the fact that it was held by a school and it's participants were staff and students, it still managed to draw worldwide attention. One contributing factor to this could be that the Shin-sekai academy was a prestigious school and was attended by the children of many of the world's elites but the major factor was that it proved to be more entertaining than many others in the world. The structure of the tournament was divided. The teachers' tournament took place first then the students' came after. After winners had been decided from both sides, the two winners would then have a face off. The winner of the previous teacher's tournament was Fuji Waramaki who had remained undefeated for five years. He also won all the face-offs with the student champions. Just in case you were wondering where the fight was happening, the SHIN SEKAI company built a large stadium in the middle of the island where all roads cross. It was not exactly a hard place to find; in fact it was the most findable place in all of the island. The city was crowded with people from all over the world who were there for many different reasons. With the exception of those that came to spectate the matches, the most common visitors to this event were scouts and reporters. The tournament may not do much for the teachers, but it had the power to determine the future of the students that participated. "Ellie Porter here, reporting live from stadium one" a woman spoke with a clear voice as she stood with a microphone in front of a camera man. "As you can see, people from all over the world have come to witness the first match of the new world tournament" "This tournament was first introduced thirteen years ago on the same year that the school was built"

Everyone that won against Cal in the previous tournament was powerful but that wasn't the only reason they won; they were able to win because they stopped him from charging up properly. You never truly appreciate a miracle unless you heard of it before it happened. That moment when the thing you thought was just too impossible begins to unfold before you for the very first time. There is no look more precious than that of one who has had such experience. Miracles happen only once. After that, it becomes a possibility. Cal and Orie were initially rated on a seven to one ratio. This meant that the officials of this tournament believed that Cal was at least seven times more powe6r than Orie and seven times more likely to win. At the current time the ratio had become ten to one. It seemed hopeless for the few that had put their faith in Orie. The match wasn't over but the situation made them feel the winner was already decided. "What is he doing in there?" "Does he have a death wish?" "Just give up already!!"even some of those that were on his opponent's side felt pity for him but Orie was not one to dwell on pity. He could not hear their words, al

There was complete silence in all parts of the stadium. It wasn't that people had nothing to say but what could they say that could explain what just happened before their eyes? They just watched as the referee ran in to confirm the outcome. It took longer than usual as the referee also had his doubts but in the end he had no choice but to declare Cal unable to continue. The silence broke immediately he stood up to declare Orie the winner. The doubt of many began to flow out in words. "IT'S A LIE!!" "THIS IS BULLSHIT!!" "THIS GAME IS RIGGED!!" There was no word of doubt that was not spoken at that moment. Even when the medics came out to put Cal on a stretcher, people still thought it was an act. What could Orie do? He had just won a match and no one believed it. There was hardly anyone cheering for him, all the loud voices expressed nothing but doubt, hate, and disbelief. Despite all the hate he was getting, he just cracked a smile and walked out of the arena

Chris Vanadium. The only reason he didn't make it to the finals as much as Cal was that he faced Waramaki in most of the semifinals. He is one of the few people that have been able to beat Cal in the previous tournaments. He is also a one time champion and the one he beat to earn that title was none other than Fuji Waramaki. There were many reasons to fear him, but most feared attribute of his was the speed of his blade. Yes, he fights with a sword and he is really good with it; so good that a large percentage of his matches end in less than a minute. Anyone that saw his previous match was immediately reminded of how dangerous he was, even some that had faith in Orie in the previous match lost it for this one. To sum things up on how dangerous he was, the chance of him making it to the final match of the current tournament was ninety-nine percent. Though Orie's match was the first of round one, in round two, his match was the third. Not many had high hopes for this match beca
