Rogues in the Woods

Hannah:

I felt my whole life flash before my eyes, it wasn't really a long one, it was full of pain and suffering. I have always been afraid to die even without having future prospects for myself being alive.

Cleo was a bit further away from me, I couldn't see how she was faring, then again, I didn't have time, I was about to be snapped to death.

This wasn't how I imagined myself to die.

The wolf on top of me raised its gigantic head ready to dive in. I couldn't even scream for my pathetic life.

My breathing ragged, my hair in a mess, the tears running freely down the side of my face. Its head began a fast descent towards mine, I couldn't help but turn towards the side and wait for its impact, closing my eyes real tight.

I heard a loud growl, and then the weight on me eased.

I thought; "is this what death is like, it's actually not that bad."

I realized I wasn't actually dead, I slowly cracked my eyes open, thanking the moon goddess for letting me live once again.
