"Galene hurry up we would be late to the stream if you keep wasting time" Diana called out to her friend placing her pot on the floor.

 "I would soon be out Diana just a few more minutes to get all the water out from the pot" A meek voice replied from inside. 

"Ok just be quick" 

"Let's go" Galene said tapping her friend who was lost in her gaze. She blinked and stood up adjusting her corset.

" You are so beautiful Galene that at times I wonder if you were created by the goddess of beauty herself" Diana retorted and Galene gave out a soft Chuckle.

 "Don't tell me you were fantasizing of me moments ago Diana" she laughed lightly

"Of course I was, I mean who wouldn't? Your beauty has no comparison and no lady could measure up to you; I'm really grateful you were my friend and I get to be seen with such a beauty as yours" she replied with a big smile plastered on her face.

"Common Diana you know you are as beautiful as the gods created you too. you shouldn't compare yourself to anyone" Galene muttered looking at her friend in disbelief.

She couldn't believe Diana could be comparing her to herself of course Diana is also beautiful.

 Everyone is beautiful just the way they were created but her dearest Diana would never understand.

She would rather insist that Galene's beauty should not be considered as mere beauty but a work of art.

"The sun would soon be out, let's hurry up before the stream becomes stuffy" Galene said to her friend Diana who nodded in agreement.

"Look Galene, it's Zach" Diana chipped smiling at her friend as they both looked up at boy who was running towards them.

"Why are you smiling like that Diana? What are you thinking in that small brain of yours?" Galene asked staring suspiciously at her friend.

"Galene" he called immediately he reached their presence. "I heard from your mother that you had already left for the stream so I came running after you" he said breathing heavily.

"Yes the sun would be up soon so we have to be on our way now," she said and tried to leave but Zach held her back.

"Wait for Galene, I brought you this" he smiled and brought out a beautiful blue wristband "I saw it at the market yesterday and decided to buy it for you considering the color-matched your eyes" he grinned and she smiled collecting it from him.

"Thank you, Zach, but you didn't have to go that far to get me this," she said touching the wristband.

"It's nothing really, I just wanted to buy it for you; See it suits your skin as if the maker thought of you while making it" he said and I smiled. "I like it too," I said and he blushed

"We would be on our way now" Galene said and he nodded, turned to wave at Diana and walked off.

"Let me see" Diana shrieked clutching her hands and checking out the blue wristband. "Awwwww!!!!! Galene can't you see he likes you" she chipped and Galene frowned.

"Stop with your silliness Diana he just said he saw the wristband and thought it would suit me so he got it; when did you hear like from him," Galene said frowning.

"How would you explain a man who went to the market and bought a wristband for a lady who is not his sister" I keep telling you this but you wouldn't want to listen to me. 

This guy loves you so much but he might be very shy to admit to you. I don't know why you would not listen to me and I keep explaining to you" she groaned.

"I don't know what you are talking about so can we go now? Galene asked walking and Diana shrugged and followed her.

They reached the stream and were grateful to have met it empty except for two ladies washing their clothes.

They seemed to be too engrossed in their talk as their hadn't noticed the presence standing few metres away from them as they come continued their gossip.

"She always carried herself as though she's more beautiful than everyone in this kingdom when she can't even afford a good dress like the rest of the maidens" One of the girl muttered.

"Her father even beats up her mother," the other girl said and they both laughed.

"The other day, I had seen her father falling around after drinking himself to stupor".

"Why so pathetic; was it her fault that you were born ugly or was it her fault no man looked at you and no one praised you," Diana said out loud and dragged out the girl who insulted her friend's mother.

"I would love to show you how to become beautiful," she said and the girl widened her eyes quickly nodded her head.

"You mean you will show me how she became beautiful?" The girl asked and Diana nodded.

"Do you not want to be beautiful just like my Galene?" Diana asked with a smirk.

Of course, I would love to be as beautiful as she looks even more than that" the girl said with a wide grin.

Galene tried to hold her laugh but couldn't, how foolish could she be to think Diana could make her beautiful. 

"But why would you want to make me as beautiful as she is when you yourself aren't as beautiful as she is?" The girl asked staring suspiciously at Diana.

"You are the one who said you wanted to be as beautiful as Galene, not me. If I want to be then I would but since I do not want then I could make you so.

Do you not know I am gifted with some powers to enhance someone's beauty?" Diana bragged and Galene chuckled clamping her hands over her mouth to stop her from laughing out loud.

"Ok make me beautiful" the girl said and walked to Diana who in turn nodded and took her hands then began walking towards the water.
