AARON

The council voted for Dahlia to remain as my Luna.

The decision was unanimous and their reasons were valid. Dahlia had done more for Shadow Claw than even I, the alpha had done for it in just five years. They believed Dahila should raise my son whom Lilith brought back while I officially divorce Lilith and set her free.

But how could I? When she was the woman my heart beat for? When she made me feel things, hundreds of Dahlia would never make me feel. I was wholesomely and irrevocably in love with her. When I thought she was dead, my life felt like it was over, and holding her in my arms yesterday was the first time I truly felt alive in the last 5 years.

I couldn't walk away from a woman who meant that much to me. A woman who had birthed my son and kept him alive for 4 years during a kidnapping ordeal she still hasn't healed enough to talk about. The council might have made their decision but the final decision still lies on my shoulders and I had to make it before the upcoming werewolf summit.

“So what's the plan now?” Lilith asked as I took off my clothes in her room. I already recounted everything that happened at the summit to her.

“If the council wants her as their Luna, are you really going to turn me away?” Her voice cut slightly and I turned to look at her. She was sitting on the bed now, shoulders dropped, “after everything. You know I wouldn't even have been kidnapped if I wasn't chasing a lead of people that were plotting against your position.”

She died or rather went missing five years ago after she found a conspiracy theory of someone trying to assassinate me and make themself the alpha. I didn't know any of this until her supposed dead body was returned to me and her handmaiden confessed that she had been investigating the conspiracy in secret from me. She wanted to uncover and present the criminals to me as a gift. But instead, I got her dead body. That was why it was too difficult for me to move on from her death.

That was why I just couldn't turn her away now.

“Don't be ridiculous, Lilith, I'm not going to turn you away. You're my love and wife.”

“And Dahila? What will happen to her? The pack loves her. Will you divorce her and turn her away?”

I swallowed a bitter lump.

“It's not that simple, Lilith. She's the Luna and she has done so much for the pack. I can't just discard her now.”

“Ohhh,” she scoffed slightly, “what will happen now?”

I had no reply to that. I was lost and confused and torn between love and duty. My heart yearns for Lilith but I was duty-bound to Dahila. Besides, it'd speak badly of me if I just discarded her after everything.

“I don't know, man. I really don't know.”

“Do I need to remind you that the most important summit in the country starts in less than three weeks and you can't be torn between two women when it starts?”

“Of course, I know.”

“So what are you going to do?”

“I don't know, Lilith. I fucking don't know.”

She started to say something else but a knock interrupted her. I smelled one of the senior guards before I opened the door and he was standing there with a folder that he said was just delivered to me.

I didn't even need to open it to know what it was.

I got a similar one a couple of months ago and I have kept it locked away since.

Lilith saw my expression when I collected the folder.

“What is it?”

I ignored her as I locked the door after the guard. I opened the folder and there were four documents in it. Two copies of a sale agreement, a formal letter of what the person wanted to buy, and a blank cheque.

Their letter was short, simple, and straight to the point.

Dear Alpha Aaron of the Blackwell Pack. This is a follow-up to my earlier letter requesting to buy your wife for 5 million dollars which you ignored. In light of the recent arrival of your dead wife, I can only imagine how much of a burden it is thinking of which woman to keep and which one to let go. Allow me to reduce your burden for you. I'll take Dahlia Adams from your hands. The price is completely up to you. Write any amount you want on the blank cheque and the money is yours. This is a win-win situation for us all. You get to keep the mother of your heir and millions of dollars while I get to keep Dahila. I'll rescind the offer in exactly two days if you don't take it. Keep in mind that I'll take Dahila from you either way so you might as well make the smart decision.

Kind regards,

Anonymous.

My blood boiled at his audacity, just like it boiled months ago when he first sent that letter. I had instantly burnt it after trying severely to locate the anonymous buyer. Whoever it was, was good at hiding their identity and they had better keep at it because I'd have their head for wanting another man's wife.

“Someone wants to buy Dahlia?” Lilith exclaimed as she snatched the paper away from my hands. She read it quickly before looking up at me with a grin in her eyes.

“This is it, Aaron. You can give her to whoever this is, keep millions of dollars alongside your son and me.”

“Come on, I don't even know the person,” I replied as I took my seat back on the bed even though I couldn't deny that it wasn't such a bad idea. If the man wanted her because of her brain and intellect, then I had nothing to lose because she already gave so much to my pack.

“And who cares about that? He wants her and he's going the extra mile to take her off your hands. I think you should be grateful for that.”

“What if he wants her for something more? For something I don't know about yet? What if this ten million dollars is nothing compared to the reason why he wants her?”

Lilith frowned slightly as she knelt in front of me, “You know I asked around and the maids told me that you barely looked at Dahila until a couple of months ago. Was this the reason? Did you change towards her because someone wanted to buy her and you assumed that there must be something hidden about her? So you started pretending to love her and care about her so she wouldn't leave you if the person ended up approaching her directly?”

I looked away from her probing gaze. I was slightly ashamed at how easily she could read me but she was right. After receiving that offer to sell Dahila for that much money, I concluded the person knew something I didn't know about her and so I started pretending to love her so she wouldn't leave me.

Lilith smiled and it was such a relieved and cheerful smile, “I knew it. I knew you wouldn't allow another woman into your heart, no matter what.”

“Lilith…”

“I don't think she's special or anything. You've lived with her for 5 years and apart from her being a woman who's desperately obsessed with getting your attention, do you think she's more than that? Listen, men have fetish obsessions. He might just want her to fulfill his dark sexual fantasies.”

“To the point of offering a blank cheque for her?”

“You'd be surprised at the lengths men would go just to claim a woman they desire and see,” she placed her hand on my thigh and started moving upwards. It was instantly distracting.

“This is a perfect solution for us. Accept the deal. Tell her and the pack that you've arranged her marriage to some alpha in the North to save her from further embarrassment and ridicule. That'll make people respect you for not just discarding her. Then have her delivered to the location the anonymous buyer wants her in. See? Everybody gets to win.”

“But what if… what if…” I was struggling to speak now because Lilith was stroking me through my trousers while she kept her innocent doe eyes trained on me, “What if he has sinister intentions for her?”

“That, my dear husband,” she pulled my trousers down and freed my already hard dick, “will be none of our business. We just have to sign the contract and deliver her.”

I tried to think of a protest by my brain stopped working when she took me the way inside her mouth. I hissed in pain and pleasure and as she started to move her head up and down, I knew I'd do whatever she requested of me.

Including selling Dahlia off.

Especially selling Dahlia off.

  • SOLD BY MY HUSBAND TO THE LYCAN KING   Three: The Return of the Dead Wife

DAHILAI woke up to the sound of creaking. It was an intense kind of creaking that made it seem like the whole house was coming undone. I sat up scared, until I realized that the creaking wasn't coming from beneath the ground, it was coming from a room not so far from mine. I didn't even need to strain my ears to hear what was going on because it was loud and clear since the night was dead quiet. It was the sound of the bed frame hitting against the wall, followed by pounding sounds, and then groans and grunts, and moans. My husband was the loudest. This was the same man who barely made a sound whenever he touched me. Fresh tears fell from my eyes. I could hear them so clearly that I knew that every other person in the pack house could hear them too. It lasted for hours. It lasted till I couldn't bear it any longer so I left my room but instead of going out to the forest to run my wolf like I wanted to, I found myself walking up to Lilith’s room instead. I stopped in front of her d

  • SOLD BY MY HUSBAND TO THE LYCAN KING   Two: An Offer From The Lycan King

DAHLIAToday was supposed to be the biggest day of my life. It was supposed to be the day my husband would finally acknowledge me publicly as his wife but instead, his wife whom everybody thought was dead just returned. And she didn't return alone. She returned with a son who was the carbon copy of my husband. The switch was instantaneous. Everybody forgot about the party happening in the next couple of minutes to focus on the return of their beloved Luna. Everybody gathered around here and there were questions about what happened and how she came back with a son. She spoke about getting kidnapped before Aaron ushered her away from the living area to her old room that he kept exactly as it was five years ago. The maids and guards murmured furtively amongst themselves. Some of them looked at me in worry and pity because the implication of Lilith’s arrival was clear. Things were going to go back to how they used to be and I'd be discarded like the stranger that I was. “What should

  • SOLD BY MY HUSBAND TO THE LYCAN KING   One: Played The Perfect Wife For Five Years

ONE: DAHLIAIf I try hard enough, then he'd finally notice and love me. That was my mantra for the last five years. So I tried really hard. I tried my hardest. I built his pack. I ensured that I built diplomatic relationships with other packs. I strengthened our defense. I created numerous programs and schemes that involved people at the grassroots level, and in turn, improved our finances, making the Shadow Claw Pack one of the most reputable packs in the country. I attended diplomatic meetings, memorized the names of all the important personnel in the country, built relationships with them, sent them gifts on anniversaries and birthdays just to leverage on that to get contracts and investments in my husband's company. I did all of these while my husband, Aaron Campbell was still mourning his dead ex-wife. I did all of that while my husband drank occasionally, staying up in Lilith, his dead ex-wife's room… While mourning her, he forgot how to be an alpha, he forgot how to lead h
