Ara’s POV

The sunset lighted the room, waking me up from my dry sleep. My body ached from the torture I went through last night.

The sheet that was handed over to me felt warm. I didn’t want to wake up but a sudden footsteps made my body tremble.

I shut my eyes. Pretending to be asleep. The footsteps got closer and closer.

“Hey up red-haired beta!” he yelled.

I woke up abruptly with the sheet still covering me up.

Short and curly-haired man, who could be mistaken for a girl at any moment. I wondered how such a pretty man found himself here.

“Stop looking at me with those pitiful eyes. You should be more concerned about yourself,” his voice soft and yet unfriendly.

“Huh!”

“Get dressed and join the others” he threw some clothes on me.

“Others?” I muttered to myself. “Wait, please” I pleaded. He paused and turned.

“What do you want?”

“I-I just want to know where I am, and your name?”

“Where you are? Don’t you recognize the symbols?” he pointed at the drawings on the walls.

My heart skipped a beat. Terrified by my own thoughts.

“As for my name, you can call me Rose,” he said.

“Huh!”

“Hahahaha, your face is hilarious. I am a male omega, pretty and I believe that name fits me best”

I could only sigh within. Still gasping about what was going on.

“Get dressed and join the others, and stop asking stupid questions before you lose your tongue,” he said with little annoyance.

I had to do what I was told to do. It was either I work my way out to survive or be used as a sex slave. I couldn’t fall short.

I got dressed. The clothes were too revealing. It was obvious they made it to prostitute omegas and betas.

It’s strange. I still couldn’t remember how I got here. The moment I left the hut I was greeted with a foul smell and people.

They all turned their attention towards me. Giving me a suspicious look. I wondered what they were looking at. Was it me or the clothes?

“She is the red-haired iron leader,”

“I can’t believe it. She lost”

“Of course. The night sparrow pack had a hand in it”

“What! I Heard if You catch the eye of their leader, you won’t live to see the sunrise,”

“But I heard he is as handsome as a prince and strong as a lion. I heard if You catch a glimpse at his handsomeness you won’t be able to stop your heart from beating”

“Stop your fluttering, he is a monster and everyone knows it”

“What is his name again..”

“Wait I remember, Sebastian Knight”

I could hear their murmurings and whispers. Most of them were all lies.

I stood confused and unaware of what was going to happen next.

Surprisingly, the man called Rose was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly two giants stood behind me. I could feel their gaze on my neck. I turned, almost slipping.

I was saved by a warm hand, that wrapped it hand around my waist. I didn’t dislike it.

“Are you alright?”

I turned around to see whose arms were around me. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

He had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. His beautiful white hair complemented his physique.

He was indeed the most handsome man I had laid eyes on. His warm and firm arms were big enough to cover my waist.

His pheromones were comforting. Oh no, I couldn’t stay close to him for long. I pulled away quickly.

“S-sorry”

“Don’t scare the pretty lady Faustus, Faise,” his husky voice echoed.

The giants suddenly bowed to him. He was tall and husky. Decorated with a few scars.

I was so caught up with him, that I didn’t notice my surroundings. We were no longer a few people but enough to fill the slave house.

“What is happening?” I asked myself out loud.

“H-he came himself. T-the night sparrow leader, Sebastian Knight”

“Huh!”

“What are You waiting for, pack them up and get them ready for the exhibition!” Brago out of nowhere commanded his men.

Though the sun was up. The sky suddenly turned black. The trees moved their branches by the command of the wind.

I have heard of this place. The view finally came to mind.

It was the ‘Apex hunt’ it was named the Apex hunt because of an ancient tale.

Where the big and famous packs bid for slaves to work for them. Either as sex slaves or manpower.

I was about to be sold. My body trembled.

“Move!” A man in silver armor yelled. We were being dragged along as chains were later hanged on our legs and hands.

We stood in the middle of the arena. It was time for the showcase. Many were seated.

The sandy ground felt like rotten dead bodies.

I could hardly breathe. The sun sets in again. Could this day ever get better?

The doors were finally opened. We were dragged off like animals.

“Move red-haired” one of the armored men pulled my chains and grabbed my butt.

“Hey, watch it,” I said with a glare. He licked his dirty lips after scanning my body with his dirty eyes.

“It’s such a shame you're being sold. I would have enjoyed you for a day or two” he said with a dirty grin.

We were finally out of the dark hole. The sun is so bright. I cover my eyes to evade the rays.

The voices of the audience echoed throughout the arena. I didn’t think people still attended this kind of disgusting show.

Speaks in an ancient language:

“Hasa! Welcome every one of you to the Apex Hunt. And the auction begins”

I started to get scared. I moved a little backward. “I don't want to be sold. I don't want to be sold” a young lady with her fingers crossed and closed eyes muttered to herself.

“We start with the blond-haired,” the announcer said earning applause and shouts from the audience.

Suddenly we heard drums and noises behind us.

“W-which blonde are they talking about?”

“Me”

“Huh!”

“I don’t want to be sold. No, brother! l she yelled and attempted to run.

Before she could make a move, a long chain was thrown which captured her neck and dragged her onto the sandy ground.

She struggled to free herself. No matter how hard she tried the chain kept pulling her.

“It seems someone wants to escape” The announcer draws everyone’s attention to the blond-haired trying to escape.

“What do we do with such disobedience, hmmm we tear them into pieces!” the announcer yelled with an evil laugh.

Her clothes were ripped from the dragging, exposing her nakedness.

Her pheromones leaked. The lustful eyes of the guards got my attention. They began to lick their lips.

They were probably alphas. They drew closer to the blonde, the chain still on her neck.

“No, get away from me! No!” she struggled.

They ignored her plea. Grabbed her legs. I couldn’t move. Stunned as I watched them devour the little blonde.

Groping her breasts and ramping in her cunt. The excited audience watched on.

I have had enough. I took a deep breath and moved towards the blonde being taken.

With my hand still under chains. I pulled myself up with the chain and kicked one of the guards on top of her.

“What is she doing?”

“She is going to get herself killed”

“Not only her, but all of us”

I wasn’t ready to listen to the blurbing of the others.

I stood before the disgusting guards. They stopped. I watched the lifeless body of the blond-haired lady lying down.

She was almost disfigured, by the violence and abuse she faced a few minutes ago.

“That is enough!” I yelled with my body boiling up with anger.

Amid the unfolding scene. Someone was amused by Ara’s braveness. He watched, his eyes sparkling and focused on Ara.

“Not bad”

The mud did jump and spray under the horses' feet as they rode, full of anger, toward their dwelling. The rain showed the Alpha's dark heart, heavy with sorrow. Sebastian struck his horse in his fury. The horse neighed loudly, as if agreeing to the fury of its master, confirming its will to hasten its pace. A day and a night had passed since they fled the ordeal of Brago. The rain had not stopped. This meant they could not reach home quickly by the easy road, leaving only the perilous and unwelcome track open to them. Their great rush suddenly stopped when Sebastian felt a quick, sharp sting in his chest. He pulled his horse to a sudden halt, making the beast jerk and nearly throw them to the ground. "Sebastian, what is wrong?" Gargath asked, his voice filled with concern. "It happens again! She is in danger! I—I know it!" Sebastian spoke, stuttering. "Hah!" the others cried out. "What say you?" Raul asked. "Can you feel her?" they questioned. "Wait! What is that mar

"What? it still dusk ,how can we leave now, what might be urgent?” Sebastian kept pacing and breathing heavily as his companions stared at him in daze. “Is there something occupying your mind” “I do not understand what I feel now Gargath. • SOLD TO THE BARBARIAN ALPHA   Long Time No See Foe

Sebastian’s POV My heart felt as though a thousand needles pierced through it as I looked upon Kazakth — the man I despised most, second only to the Voldines. He watched me throughout the trial, his gaze steady and unyielding. The worst part was that we looked so alike it felt as if I were staring into a mirror. I still remember the first time we met. It was as though fate had drawn us together. I was but ten winters old, trembling as his eyes fell upon me — sharp and hungry, like a wolf studying its prey. Yet he smiled, a smile strangely familiar, and in that moment, I truly learned what fear meant. “This man is no ordinary Alpha,” I had whispered to myself. But the dread did not come from his power — it was from the haunting truth that he looked like me. I wondered if blood might bind us. Luckily, it did not. Still, as I grew, many mistook me for him. And in time, I became what I once feared — cold, relentless, and eventually named the Barbarian. He was the darker versio

  • SOLD TO THE BARBARIAN ALPHA   Brago’s Trial

“Sebastian, we must leave for Brago’s Trail. His fate shall be decided after the council,” said Gargath, handing over a howl-letter bearing the king’s seal.Sebastian chuckled. “Is that so? This will be interesting.”“We ride at nightfall, if we wish to arrive on time.”“Aye. Ready the horses, and inform Vaxar, Faustus, and Faise—they ride with us.”“Aye, Alpha Sebastian.” Gargath turned to leave but paused as Sebastian raised a hand.“Wait,” Sebastian said, voice low. “Next time, do not disturb my peace. I will not have it, Gar.”Gargath scoffed playfully. “I heed my master’s plea.”“Plea?” Sebastian frowned, but before he could scold him further, Gargath vanished.Sebastian’s POVI would have no quarrel with leaving for the Trail, if not for Crystal and her brother being here. Now that they are, I worry for Ara. Leaving her alone with them may stir trouble. But what choice do I have? I muttered to myself after Gargath left. When I woke, the bed was empty. She had left before the fir

  • SOLD TO THE BARBARIAN ALPHA   The Guests Part 2

Sebastian’s POV I could feel it—her pain, sharp as a seax’s blade between my ribs. It was not my will to wound her, yet she held no weight in my thoughts at that moment. Ever did she bring storms upon me, and still, the sight of her weeping gnawed at my bones. Her tears alone were enough to unsettle me for days. Worse still, I had to endure these wretched siblings. "I remember now—this is the slave who won the games some days past. Aye, it is her. She sparks my interest, you see..."The bastard Lewis spoke, cleaving through my thoughts. I knew his gaze had settled upon Ara, but after the blood-price I took from him, I had hoped he would not dare to harbor such desires. "Interest?" I raised a brow. "What nonsense spills from your lips now, brother?" "Oh, dear sister, your wits move slow as winter ice. The slave who seeks your husband’s heart is the very one you just saw," he revealed. "What?!" Crystal whirled toward me, eyes sharp as frost. "What is he saying, Sebastian?" "

  • SOLD TO THE BARBARIAN ALPHA   The Guests Part 1

"Seb, I warned you. Ending the marriage so swiftly was a reckless move. And now, we’ve made an enemy of them," Gargath said as he dragged Sebastian into his chamber, shutting the heavy oak door behind them. "You think I know not, Gar?" Sebastian growled, his voice tight with unrest. "But what is the point in forging a bond with one I feel naught for?" "Oh, because now you pine for the girl who turned you away, aye?" Gargath shot back, his words edged with bitter humor. Sebastian’s glare could've frozen a fjord. Gargath exhaled sharply, then bowed his head. "Forgive me. That was low." "Seb," he continued more gently, "you could still go through with the marriage. Perhaps, in time, you two might find warmth in each other." "You forget one thing," Sebastian said, his tone quiet but firm. "I am bonded—to another. My soul has chosen. Even if I tried to love Crystal, or merely stand beside her as husband, my very body would betray me. It is not a choice anymore." Gargath swall
