(ACCALIA'S POV)
The club's intoxicating rhythm moved through the air and it was creating an atmosphere that was charged with immense desires. The handsome stranger's presence in front of me felt like a magnetic force, like it was drawing me closer as though we were two opposing poles. With the effects of alcohol still in my head, it seemed to somehow lend me a very reckless confidence, I leaned in closer to the handsome stranger. His gaze were penetrating and unwavering and held mine in a heated embrace that left me breathless, it was almost like we were in a staring competition. The unspoken connection between us sizzled like electricity. The handsome stranger was the definition of perfection, how could a man be so handsome? He skin was smooth and so clear, he had strong jawline and dark blue eyes set deep into his face like a gemstone. His hair was thick and black and fell on his forehead with an ease that showed his rough exterior and it suited him, his hair was styled perfectly as if by a professional.Just a single glance and anyone would feel like their soul had been stripped out of their body and left naked on a street corner in front of a hundred strangers for all the world to see. The intensity of his stare made my heart beat fast. There wasn't a doubt that this man was the epitome of beauty. His eyes were hypnotizing and I knew without a shred of hesitation that he would make beautiful babies and also how men and any other women would foolishly and easily fall for his sexiness and charms. He would make them love him, he could do anything, even if it would kill everyone to admit it... and he'd take it all without a care in the world. His aura, the way he looked, the way he moved, even the air itself seemed to whisper about how powerful and perfect he was. He was the essence of a Greek god. And yet...he continued to stare at me“Hey gorgeous," I slurred out in a drunken slur. “What's your name?" He looked like a Greek God and I swear I saw his lips moved slightly in a sly smile as he spoke, they parted just enough to let me catch a glimpse of his pink tongue. Was this guy trying to seduce me or something? Well if he was trying to seduce me, he sure as hell did not have to try too hard because damn ... .I would give anything to have this handsome stranger in my bed.“I'm Don,” He said slowly, pronouncing every syllable clearly. He was definitely not going to give me the chance to mistake his name for something else. He took another slow sip from his glass of whiskey, and his mouth twisted slightly when he saw me wince under his intense gaze.I noticed that his white shirt had only been buttoned up halfway, his chest showed off some toned abs. I felt a little dizzy watching him down the whiskey and how it made its way down his throat. His pants were dark gray with a slight blue undertone to them and his brown belt fit snugly on his hips. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was definitely the hottest godlike man I had ever seen in my life. I wondered how hot he would be underneath all those damn clothes. I wanted to see... No! Not that again !What was wrong with me? Damn it, I really do need some help here! The alcohol has really gotten to my headDon smiled and leaned back, “I think you've drunk enough, don't you think?""Mr. Handsome Don," I began ignoring his question and made my voice lower to a sultry and drunken murmur, the words slowly slipping from my lips like secrets too enticing to be contained. "I'm in quite a problem, you see." My words carried the faintest hint of intoxication, that was to show that the alcohol was still coursing through my veins and it was giving me a lot of courage. A kind of courage I would never have if I was completely sober.I noticed that the handsome stranger's eyes were a mesmerizing shade of emerald blue and it remained fixed on mine, unmoving, like a depth that hinted at hidden desires and untamed passions. Though there was something in his gaze, a dark flash too hard to understand, infact, I was too drunk to decipher it, but it definitely sent a shiver of anticipation down my spine."There's a debt," I continued, I noted the urgency in my voice cutting through the club's noise. "A really really big debt that my father owes to a man… a man named Ken Peterson. He insists that I must marry him to settle it, but I can't, I really can't! You know what, I won't!"In that charged moment, a shadow crossed Don's eyes, a darkness that stirred intrigue and left me yearning for more. But I pressed on, emboldened by the undeniable connection that crackled between us."Mr. Handsome Don, I have a proposition, you would love it." My words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken desires. "Marry me. Help me escape this nightmare, and in return, I'll be your... mutual partner."I watched him look away, his expression remained cold, unreadable and bored. His gaze lingered anywhere but mine, I knew that I was losing his interest, I was desperate and the next words that I blurted out shocked me to the core. "I'll do anything you want."His eyes locked on mine and I noticed the look of amusement in them and something else that I could not fathom. His blue eyes bore into my soul, almost like it was searching for something. He leaned in towards me, his lips only inches away from my ear, I could feel his hot breath on my neck and I felt a shiver run down my spine."Anything?" He breathed out in an almost whisper. "Don't tempt me, pumpkin…."(DON'S POV)As I looked into Accalia's eyes, her words hung between us and it was heavy with desperation and desire. It was clear that she was really in a predicament, probably a very big and deep one but what struck me most was how intensely drunk she appeared to be. The alcohol had blurred the edges of her world and it left her vulnerable and adrift. Anything could happen to her if she mingled in the crowd or stepped outside anyone. I took a good look at her, she looked fragile like she would break at the slightest touch. She looked nothing more than twenty, she was wearing nothing but a yellow dress that fell below her knees and showed off her beautiful legs. Her hair golden hair fell freely around her shoulders in waves and her little makeup perfectly blended with her pale skin making her appear like an angel, as if God had made up some sort of beauty serum for her. She was a beauty, truly, and there was something intoxicating about her beauty even if I felt my mind begin to wan
(ACCALIA'S POV)The moment I regained consciousness, I regretted it instantly. My head throbbed with a relentless and heavy ache and the blinding sunlight filtering through the curtains felt like an assault on my eyes. As I tried to piece together the events of the previous night, I felt a strong feeling of irritation washed over me when the vivid memory of my parents asking me to marry Ken Peterson flooded in, and I hissed in annoyance.I groaned in irritation, wanting nothing more than to bury my head under the covers and block out the world. I intended to roll over and go back to sleep, to escape the impending storm of parental pressure, but then the distorted and blurry memories flooded into my mind. The club, the sultry proposition I had dared to make and the my goodness gracious, the handsome and mysterious stranger named Don, it all came rushing back.My eyes widened in embarrassment as I remembered my reckless proposal to a man I barely knew. The last thing I recalled him sa
(ACCALIA'S POV)My eyes traveled to where Don sat, He was dressed in a dark suit, with a crisp white shirt and a silk tie. His shoes are shined to a mirror-like finish, and he's wearing a gold watch on his wrist. His expression is unreadable, but there's a hint of a smirk on his lips. His eyes are cold and calculating, and he exudes an aura of power and control. He sits back on the couch, one leg crossed casually over the other as if he owns the room. Everything about him screams danger and authority, his gaze holding empty emotions in them, I was confused, I had a hazy memory of him at the bar but he was the one as his strong cologne filled the entire room,Clarissa pasted a fake smile on her face as she approached me.“What's going on?” I managed to whisper to her.“What do you mean what's going on? He came for you.” Her voice rang like a bell in my head, as I looked at everyone in the room.“You all have got to be joking, right?” I asked but Dad only smiled as he stared at me,and
ACCALIA'S POVWe got downstairs, to see Dad and Aunt Clarissa. The look on their faces seems subtle and confused. I stood behind Don, as he spoke,“I'm taking her home tonight.” He says, Dad shared a look with Aunt Clarissa, then to me,“Why all of a sudden? The marriage rites are yet to be done.” He managed to say, Don turned his head slowly to him,”Marriage rites?" They both nodded frantically,“Lia and I already did that. I just came here to pick up my wife before you give her up.” He paused, then allowed them to digest what he had just said, then continued” We'll see you at the wedding.” They both stood in awe at what was happening, even I was shocked because I wasn't expecting that response from him.He looked at me with a cold expression, “Pack your things and meet me in the car." He said as he straightened his jacket and adjusted his tie. He gave me a cold, hard look, and then turns and walks out the door without a word. As he leaves, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. I c
ACCALIA'S POV“He had a sister? I didn't know..” the butler looked away as if telling me was not a great idea.“Don't let the master know I told you.”He stated, then helped me with my bags as he showed me the room.“This is where you'll be staying for the meantime.”“Wow, Don sure has some goodness in him,” I said in a low voice, The butler looked at me and then said, “You shouldn't get too caught up with that. The master is pretty Dangerous.” As we climbed the stairs the walls of the house were mostly artworks hung on them, there were no single pictures on the wall.We got to my room, and he turned the doorknob and opened the door, I was wowed by its majestic looks,The walls were a soft, buttery yellow, and the curtains were a luxurious ivory silk. The furniture is all antique, with hand-carved details and gilded accents. The fireplace is a masterpiece of marble and gold, with a roaring fire burning inside. The room was filled with light, streaming in through the windows and refle
DON'S POVI couldn't eat, the banging from the gate seemed too loud, too bad Luca wasn't here to kick off his butts.“Where are the guards?” I frowned I turned to Butler Roy,“The guards? They should be with Luca. You sent them to go with him”. He answered quickly, Groaning in anger, I picked up my cell phone as I head to the door,“What's with all the noise!” I asked furiously, Lia turned to me as if scared to see me,“I'm sorry, he was just leaving?”“Don? Isn't that Don Donato? You're married to this monster?” He drew his finger at me as I stood, looking at him making a mess of himself.“What do you mean_”I immediately cut her off, and turned to him, “You have just five minutes to leave if you don't want to kiss this horrible world goodbye” I warned keenly as I walked back into the house banging the door without me, he should be just lucky, I do not have any prove to pin him as a criminal. I entered my room as Accalia busted in banging the door behind her,“What was Ken talking
ACCALIA'S POVDon was upset and to be honest, I knew that I made him angry. I looked at the clock on the wall and realized that it was still too damn too early and there was absolutely no way I would be able to go see him at his office, not when the contract stated that I must always stay hidden, I was his anonymous wife. I let out a bored sigh and continued to play with the food on my plate.“Would you like to talk about it?” A familiar voice asked, I raised my head and my gaze fell on Butler Roy. Believe it or not, I came to find out that he was one of the best staff Don had, and judging by his look, it appeared like he had worked for the Donato family for a very long time.I sighed before I spoke, “ No… I don't just get it.”He squinted his brows and stared at me in confusion, “What don't you get, young miss?”“Don? Your boss, He's so difficult to read and understand. How am I supposed to cope with him?” I complained bitterly. I and Don weren't even married properly yet, I mean we
ACCALIA'S POVI got to my family's mansion and got out of the cab. Entering the gate, I received greetings from the workers and I noticed the side glances they were giving each other but I chose to put no meaning into it. I entered the main building and walked into the living room, and just as I had entered my gaze landed on Ken who was sitted there with his legs crossed over the other and he smirked. Him sitting there reminded me of just few days ago when Don had been sitted in that same spot. What was he playing right now? I wondered to myself, why was Ken in my family house?I shifted my gaze to my Dad and I noticed he had a frown on his face while Clarissa was giving me a dirty look and she rolled her eyes as soon as our gaze met.“What's going on? Why the sudden call?” I asked but no one was ready to give me a response. I sighed, I was really in no mood for my family drama today!“Did you or did you not tell Don about your marriage to Ken?” My Dad suddenly asked I was taken abac
