AUTHOR’S POV

"Give it to me," Kendrick said taking two little glass bottles from a nurse close to the emergency room. He was wearing a doctor's uniform with a strange name tag on it. He smiled at the nurse and dragged the face mask up his nose. He shoved his hand into his pocket and took out a stack of money and handed it to her. The nurse looked sideways to see if anyone was coming and took the money from him with a beaming smile.

"Thank you so much, sir." She said.

"Be on the lookout, tell me if anyone is coming," Kendrick said, and she nodded, guiding him into the emergency room. He entered the empty room. Lugard was still sleeping peacefully on the bed. Sunlight poured into the room from the window blinds reflecting on his body. Kendrick acted fast and moved closer to Lugard on the bed.

Checking the dripping fluid, he was being given and turned it off. The sound of the switch snapping woke up Lugard from his slumber. He was about to speak when Kendrick used a white handkerchief
