Chapter 52

AURORA

I give her a hug and we turn around to a sound at the door; we move slightly to see my father standing at the door leaning on the frame wearing his king's uniform. He doesn't wear it often, but when he does, he looks good and that is saying something. After all, I am his daughter.

He straightens and then bows as he says,

"My Hearts, you both look absolutely magnificent... Shall we start this party?"

I nod, as does Mother, and we make our way over to join him at the door. With my mother on one arm and me on the other, we make our way down the main stairs and into the entry, we then make our way out the back and onto the makeshift stage, he drops our arms and moves to the front and says

"WELCOME EVERYONE, WE ARE HERE TONIGHT TO CELEBRATE THE 18TH BIRTHDAY OF PRINCESS AURORA!!"

He turns slightly and holds out his hand towards me. I step forward and take it. He then moves me to the front of the stage, where I bow slightly to everyone. I then face my father as he continues,
