Mia's POV

I didn't stay long outside because they were following me. I just didn't want to see them everywhere I go, but that seemed like a difficult wish for me. I just tried to avoid them as much as I could. My father's treatment was the most important thing for me now, and that was all I could focus on for the next few days.

I didn't even bother speaking to them, even though I'm the reason why they are here. But I never invited them anyway, so if they are tired, they can just go back. My brother noticed the way I was treating them, and he finally called me to ask me about what was going on.

"I've seen the way you are treating your guests. Don't you want them around you? I thought you were supposed to be their mate. It's not easy to find a lot of mates like this—you should cherish them," he told me.

"Remember, Daisy told you not to trust people easily. Why do you just see the good in everyone? You have no idea what kind of people they are," I said to him.
