Mia's POV

"Run!" someone shouted from behind me. "Run now!"

I didn't need to be told twice. Dropping the grocery bags, I grabbed Mira and Marcus's hands while scooping up Miraz with my other arm.

"Mommy, what's happening?" Mira cried, her little legs struggling to keep up with my frantic pace.

"Just run, baby," I panted, my heart hammering against my ribs. "We need to get somewhere safe right now."

Behind us, I could hear heavy footsteps getting closer. The sound of boots on concrete echoed through the shopping district, and I knew without looking back that those masked men were still following us.

This can't be happening. This can't be real.

We darted between shoppers, weaving through the crowded sidewalk as I searched desperately for somewhere to hide. The children were crying now, scared and confused, and I felt like the worst mother in the world for putting them in this situation.

How did everything go so wrong so fast?

I spotted the entrance to the large shopping mall ahead and m

Mia's POVThe weight of everything that had happened was crushing down on me. My children were clinging to my legs, still shaken from being chased by masked strangers, and I felt like I was drowning in confusion and fear. This has to be connected to that organization, I thought, my mind racing. The same one that killed their father. The same one that's been terrorizing packs."Xavier," I said, looking up at him with determination I didn't really feel. "I need to go home. Not to the apartment - home home. To my father's pack."His eyebrows shot up. "Mia, that's-""It's the only place my children will be truly safe," I interrupted. "My brother is there, my father. They have the resources to protect us properly."I could see the reluctance in his dark eyes, but also understanding. He knew as well as I did that whatever was happening was escalating fast."Thank you," I said quietly, surprising myself with the sincerity in my voice. "For being here when I needed you, even if you were foll

  • STEPBROTHER'S PUNISHES ME EVERYNIGHT   Chapter 245

Mia's POVThe house felt suffocating after I'd thrown everyone out. My hands were still shaking from the adrenaline, and I could hear the kids whispering upstairs, probably trying to make sense of what they'd witnessed downstairs.I felt terrible about how things had ended, especially with Liam. He'd looked so hurt when I told him to leave, and guilt was eating away at me. Despite my growing suspicions, he'd been nothing but kind and supportive to me and the children.Maybe I should apologize, I thought, making my way toward the kitchen to pack some leftovers for him. It was the least I could do after embarrassing him in front of those three. But as I reached for a container, I heard Liam's voice coming from outside. He was on the phone, and something in his tone made me freeze.I moved closer to the window, staying in the shadows so he wouldn't see me. I didn't want to disturb his call, but something about his voice made me stay and listen."I need you to take care of a problem for m

Liam's POVThe tension in that room was suffocating, and I could feel my carefully constructed facade starting to crack. Mia had been acting differently toward me lately - more distant, more guarded. I knew exactly who to blame for this shift. Those damn brothers. Before they showed up, everything was perfect. Mia was starting to trust me, the kids adored me, and I was so close to having everything I wanted. But now? Now she was pulling away, and I could see suspicion creeping into her beautiful eyes whenever she looked at me."Well," I said, forcing my voice to remain light and casual, "I should probably go check on the kids. They're probably wondering where Uncle Liam went."The title felt bitter on my tongue now, but I needed to maintain the loving, caring image I'd worked so hard to build. As I walked toward the stairs, I could feel their eyes boring into my back. Tristan especially seemed to be studying me like I was some kind of puzzle he needed to solve. That man was dangerous

Mia's POVI took a deep breath, steeling myself for what I was about to do. Setting boundaries with Xavier, Nathan, and Sean felt like walking through a minefield - one wrong step and everything could explode in my face."Alright," I said, turning back to face them. "If you really want this chance, then you'll follow my rules exactly. No negotiations, no arguments."Xavier nodded immediately. "Whatever you want, Mia. Just tell us.""First rule," I began, my voice firm and steady. "You don't get to call yourselves their fathers yet. You haven't earned that title."Sean's face darkened. "But we are their biological-""I said no arguments!" I snapped, cutting him off. "You want to be their fathers? Then prove it through your actions, not your DNA."The hurt in their eyes was obvious, but I pushed down any sympathy I might have felt. They needed to understand that being a parent was about more than just contributing genetic material.Nathan stepped forward, his jaw clenched. "Mia, that's

  • STEPBROTHER'S PUNISHES ME EVERYNIGHT   Chapter 242

Mia's POVMy heart was still racing from everything that had happened at the theme park. The image of my little daughter missing, crying alone in that corner, kept replaying in my mind. Something wasn't right about the whole situation, and deep down, I knew it wasn't just a coincidence. When Mira had whispered to me earlier about seeing "Uncle Liam" before she got lost, my blood ran cold. My own daughter's words carried more weight than anyone else's, even Liam's. But I couldn't let Xavier and his brothers know about this - not yet. Knowing them, they'd go ballistic and probably do something stupid that would make everything worse.I needed concrete proof before jumping to conclusions, and I was going to find it myself."So you are suspecting Liam," I said, crossing my arms as I stared at the three brothers who looked like they'd been caught red-handed.Xavier's jaw tightened. "Mia, you need to listen to us. There's something about him that-""Drop it," I cut him off sharply. "Just dr
