CHAPTER NINETEEN

Anika's P.O.V

I stared at Richard in astonishment and disbelief.

What was he doing at my office and how could he have the audacity to approach me after all the terrible things he put me through?

I felt deeply hurt and betrayed as if my heart had been shattered into pieces. Though a part of me wanted to lash out and unleash my anger on him, I managed to remain composed.

Why did he choose to come here? I was finally starting to move on from the pain he caused, but his mere presence reignited the memories of our past together.
