“Oh thank goodness,” I sighed in relief, thankful for how the wind moved me here.

“Ohhh, you’re the one with the crazy ambition.” Sean laughed like he has known me since I was born.

“What do you mean?” I hissed, folding my arms under my breasts.

“I’ve dropped my ambitions on the Rutherfords. Those people are crazy; but my cousin on the other hand, he smokes too damn much, he hates the Rutherfords as much as he loves his cigarettes. He could be of help to you. I’ll give you his card so you can find your way to the house because I won’t be leaving this place for a while.” Julian explained, searching his pockets for a card.

“I don’t think she can leave either.” Sean breathed, holding his phone so close to his face.

“Why?” I asked, hiccuping my way into further anxiety.

“You’re wanted in Chicago, Chelsea.” Sean explained, causing my feet to go cold.

“I didn’t even shoot her chest, I shot her wrist. How is she dead?” Panic set in, real time.

“Chelsea, you left a gun a

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   ON THE RUN AGAIN

Taking sharp breaths, I continued to my new apartment. As expected, my pulse picked up so damn fast; my heart thudding heavily against my chest. My goodness. What did I just do? Does she deserve it? Yes. Do I feel bad? No. Am I scared? Yes. Do I give a fuck? No. You know what? That stranger was right. Maybe I do need a gun. Maybe I do need more guns; one for every member of Ricci’s family. I stood up to grab an apple and realized; the cops might come here, hell the cops will come here. Screw that; I’ll figure it out. I took a huge bite off the apple and flopped down on the couch, heavy sleep swelling in my eyes. *FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER* “Chelsea Star Ambers! Come out with your hands up!” A loud voice barked from my door. I jumped to my feet, too scared to breathe loud or stagger too much. What the fuck is going on? “Chelsea! Come out with your hands up!!” Another voice sounded, thicker with more firmness. I tiptoed to the door and peeked through the hole, catching wind o

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   “WHAT IS THIS PLACE?”

Panting like a mad dog, I crashed to the floor, crying and tired. Who the hell is Sullivan? Who the hell are these people? And worst of all, how the hell am I supposed to get to Chicago? I have no ID on me. Nothing but my phone. Well, I’ve done nothing but take risks for the longest time so why not now? If it fucks the Rutherfords up, I’m down for it. I got up and doubled my speed, grateful at how tiny I am and how fast my legs have been since middle school. I caught sight of the bus station and realized I ran in the wrong direction. The last time I saw this particular bus station was when we moved into America. Nobody ever goes to this bus station; it has been in ruins since the 1900s. I’ve run too far to turn back now so yes, I proceeded into the abandoned bus station. At least one bus moves per week and I’m praying on everything I have that that one bus would be the bus I enter. “Hey! Hey!” I yelled, needle eye thin till I pass out. An old haggy man paused in his tracks an

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   POOR MR ZEFIR

“What?” I frowned in disgust, ending the call. I walked a little further into the streets, holding back my tears but before ten minutes elapsed, a text came in. ‘Poor Mr Zefir.’ The text was from Ricci. Oh fuck! I turned around, running back to Mr Zefir’s house, tossing all caution and whatever into the wind. The tears couldn’t be held back anymore. It’s all bullshit! This whole thing, it’s madness! “Mr Zefir! Mr Zefir!” I shouted, barging into the house. Not his house, my house. With no trace of Mr Zefir, I ran upstairs; a trail of blood greeting me in front of my room. “Oh fuck you Ricci!!” I screamed in pain, running towards Mr Zefir’s cold, lifeless body. He had my note tightly planted in his fist. “You are a fucking monster, Ricci! He did nothing wrong! He did nothing wrong Ricci!” I shouted over the phone but only got a subtle laugh from him before he hung up the phone. Oh that’s it! That does it! I picked up my phone and called both the police and the ambulance,

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   WHERE’S EVERYONE?

“Mom!!” I shouted at the top of my lungs the second I stepped into the compound. My heart beat raced but my movements slowed down drastically. The compound was empty. Silent. Bushy. Dead. “Mom!!” I shouted again, desperate for a reply as I ran into the house. It looks so desolate and ravaged. Someone broke into the house and nobody has stepped in here ever since. Running to the back of the house, I saw my little sister’s clothes scattered on the floor; her toys too. A year dropped, there’s no one home. After six fucking months of waiting and begging to come home, I finally do and it’s empty? I ran back to the house, searching for anything. A clue, a note, anything at all that points to my family. I’m finally off the hook with the Rutherfords so why can’t I go with my family. Insanity took over me as I searched everywhere; the top of the refrigerator, under the couch, behind the television, inside the cupboard, between the book shelf! Everywhere! I turned it upside down yet n

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   THE KIDNAP II

I could hear very faint voices… surprised I’m still alive. The loudest voice was Ricci’s. “Mom! Why the hell would you do that?” He panted, grabbing me off the floor. I remained as still as I could; a second bullet wouldn’t be nice. “Didn’t you want the problem taken care of?” Nathara shouted after Ricci as he scaled through the door with me in his hands. Excuse me, what problem needs to taken care of? “Get back here, Ricci!” Ricci stopped. I could feel myself losing blood, losing life. “I don’t know what’s going on, and I honestly don’t want to know. I’m here for my wife and nothing else.” He added before proceeding to the car again. “What’s going on?” I heard that weird driver’s voice as Ricci and I approached his car. Well, now I know why we drove four hours into the dead wilderness! And, he isn’t even Ricci’s driver… he’s Nathara’s. “Forty five million dollars?” Nathara spoke. “Fifty, Nathara. That was our deal.” The driver responded before Ricci placed me in the
