Chapter 4; The Werewolf of the Village

Chapter 4

Early in the morning, Kim was awakened by the loud ringing of his phone. When he answered the call, it was his elder maid, Gina.

"Kim! Where are you? I'm so worried that you didn't go home last night! I dialed your phone many times, but it was out of coverage. Huh! My God, Kim, you're getting on my nerves." Elder Gina was worried sick about him.

"Elder Gina, I'm sorry for not informing you. I spent the night at the Macrobat family's house. Do you remember them? I met my childhood friend, and because it was too risky to go back home in the dark, they offered me to stay there until morning. So don't worry, Elder Gina, I'll be back home later," Kim said in a cheerful voice.

"Okay, but please be careful. I'll prepare breakfast for you," Elder Gina sighed deeply.

"Thank you, Elder Gina," Kim smiled over the phone.

Kim got ready and was ready to leave.

"Aunt Molina, good morning. Thank you for accommodating me here, but I have to go now," Kim asked for her permission to leave.

"Oh, Kim, I've prepared breakfast for us. Could you please join us first before you leave?" Molina invited him.

"Thank you, Aunt Molina, but Elder Gina is waiting for me. If you don't mind, I'll come back here again. I just need to go now," Kim explained politely.

"Well, if that's the case, please be careful and come back here anytime," Molina replied.

"Thank you, Aunt Molina," Kim smiled charmingly and waved his hand.

As he was walking, he noticed something strange looking behind him. He felt like something was wrong.

In the distance, a woman wearing a black coat was staring at him. She was keeping an eye on him. Her sharp, bold eyes made Kim nervous.

Kim walked faster, but the woman still followed him. He decided to run as fast as he could to lose her, but when he turned around, she had disappeared.

He sighed deeply, as if a thorn had been pulled from his chest.

"This place is so weird," he thought. "Why do Alex and her mom still live in this kind of place? They know that a lot of ferocious animals lurk around, but they've chosen to stay here for a long time. I can't understand what they're thinking. Huh! At least the woman who was following me is gone." Kim was deeply relieved.

But just as he was about to walk away, the woman from before appeared in front of him, holding a blood-stained knife.

He was terrified, and his heart raced. He didn't know what to do.

"Please don't come towards me! Stay there!" Kim cried out in fear.

"Boy, I want some food. Could you please give me food to eat?" the woman asked in a pitiful voice.

Kim sighed deeply. He was about to piss his pants.

"Sorry, but I don't have any food right now. I was going home for breakfast. Please, if you don't mind, kindly stop staring at me like that. I'm afraid of the way you're looking at me," Kim said in a trembling voice.

Just as Kim was about to leave, the woman spoke to him wildly.

"Boy, be careful. You don't know what will happen in the next three days. It will change your lifestyle forever," the woman's voice penetrated Kim's mind. Then, when Kim turned around to clarify what she meant, she immediately disappeared.

Kim's body trembled, and he ran as fast as he could back to his house.

"Kim, you're here. Why do you look like someone was chasing after you?" Elder Gina asked when she saw Kim sweating and trembling.

"Elder Gina, I met a weird woman when I was walking home. She said to be careful in the next three days. I don't know why, but her words keep running through my head. Then, after she spoke, she disappeared like no one was there," Kim told her everything, his body still shaking.

"Kim, I've been living here for almost 30 years, and I know what happens in this place. I'll be honest with you: I don't know why your father sent you back here when he knew this place is dangerous at night. Let me tell you something, Kim: this place is a place that has never been discovered by any people."

"What do you mean, Elder Gina?" Kim's eyes widened.

"What did you mean, Elder Gina?" Kim's eyes widened.

"I mean, I heard from people before that there's a ferocious monster living in this place. Five years ago, a family was murdered by an unknown criminal. When the police examined their corpses, they found out that their body parts, like liver and heart, were missing. Someone saw a werewolf monster roaming around when the moon turned full."

Kim's eyes widened again. He didn't know if he believed in werewolves because it was only a story.

"Kim, let me tell you that please don't go outside at night," Elder Gina reminded him.

"Okay, Elder Gina," Kim agreed.
