It was the Eastern Plaza de la Magnifique overlooking the big Eastern Ocean awash with lights and fanfare.

“Marcus and Dana Giannio have just arrived. Hmm, Millie, I wonder if this couple will bring the spice to the carpet like they did last year, what do you think?”

“Definitely.”

Rachel forced herself to calm down. She always was a wreck of nerves before major events like this but this was much worse because she was now a disgraced TV host. Hopefully, some of the elites would be merciful and sympathize with her?

Nate's fingers squeezed her waist. “You are trembling.”

“I’m nervous,” she confessed.

“You are with me.”

That was supposed to be comforting. Rachel smiled at his arrogance. The man was full of it it was a surprise he wasn’t bursting with his ego. Good thing he had the shoulders for an ego as huge as that.

They were behind a new break-out couple that had starred in a new show directed by the renowned Emilia Cartridge, a trailblazer like her name indicated.
