Chapter 3

 

ATHENA'S POV

I had walked all the way to the orphanage . My feet wear aching ,I was exhausted and dehydrated. When I arrived infront of the orphanage, what was left of my heart shattered . I thought I was gratis but I was totally wrong.

I took a deep breath and clutched my only things I held the ones I love on to my chest and walked in since it was already open .

I made my way straight to the head mistress's office. The children were giving me looks that made feel even more depressed. They were judging me without being verbal.

I walked passed them and went to the office. I faltered at first but in the end ,I knocked at the door .

" Come in " 

I pushed the door open and got in .I bowed my head trying to hide my tears 

"Oh God ...not again ." 

"They ...they...." I couldn't hold my sobbing anymore ,I cried out .

"Oh dear ... come here ." She opened her arms .

I ran into her arms crying out loud .

"What happened this time?? You can tell me. Were they abusing you ?" She patted my back 

I shook my head in response .

"You didn't like it there " 

"I loved it ...." I snuggled into her 

"Then what happened athena ??" 

"They....they....were killed..they were killed. They left me ..." 

I cried again 

" I am so sorry my little girl...let it all out " 

I wept out ,I could still see their lifeless body whenever I closed my eyes

The door opened 

"Oh God ...what did she do this time...??" Sister Ester said really annoyed

"Go and prepare a bed for her....." Head mistress order 

"You are one troublesome child ,even the crazy ones returned you..???" She left 

"Head mistress , please don't tell her what happened " I pulled back and looked at her 

"And why ??" 

"I don't want their pity " 

"Okay then ,I won't tell anyone if will make you feel good " 

" Thank you" 

"So tell me , how were you there ?" 

"They treated like their real child. They spoiled me .. today was my first day at school " 

"Wow ...that's wonderful "

The door opened again. 

"I have prepared her bed..." 

She said . I hated her so much .

"Go then athena, follow Ester " 

I followed the witch sister ,she led me to the teens room . 

"This is where your will be staying ... good luck " she showed me the bed and a pile of clothes on it and got out .

I went to the bed and got in between the sheets . I curled in to a ball 

Weeks passed but not smoothly. I was bullied . I was told harsh words ,I didn't even have the energy to fight back . I was despondent and lonely. 

"I still don't get it . You have been adopted many times but always end up coming back. The most funny part is that the couple from hell didn't want either . Are you by any chance cursed ??" Veronica ,the bitch came to my bed with her minions. She was like that because she was sister Ester's favourite. 

"Do you dare say that about them .. obtuse bitch " I had had enough with all the inside .

"Did you just insult me ..?  Sally close the door . I am going to teach this chihuahua some manners 

" Her minions held me and slammed me again the wall .

She slapped multiple times.my cheeks were red and painful. I was crying 

"Veronica, look at this . She stole from them , I love this bracelet..R+M ...Awww, how sweet " Donna said putting on Rosie bracelet 

"NOO...PUT THEM BACK...I WILL DO ANYTHING ,JUST PUT THEM BACK " I SHOUTED 

" Awww ...hand them to me Donna " 

Donna gave them to Veronica .

" Let's see how you love this things ....how about I destroy them " 

She smirked at me 

" I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DESTROY THEM ..." I yelled at her but she just broke it into half .

" NOOOOOO....I WILL KILL YOU " I wiggled tried to get out  of the girls hold ... they laughed .

She leaned right infront of me ,our eyes were in level .

" Kill me chihuahua" she laughed and looked back at her friends.

I headed her when she looked back at me . It was painful as fuck but I didn't mind.

" FUCK..." she stumbled back and fell on her butt .

I stumped on each girl that held me 's foot. They released me in reflex . I took anything I could lay my hand on , luckily it was a wooden chair . I did not even falter ,hit Veronica with . Over and over .  

They tried to pull me back , I pushed them away . They fell down . 

"I WILL KILL YOU ....YOU WILL PAY " I stumped on her, everywhere my foot would land .

"YOU SEE WHAT YOU DID TO MY MOM 'S FAVOURITE BRACELET ....I WILL KILL YOU FOR THIS " I collected them from the floor and cried 

"Ester will punish you

... crazy bitch " she showed her bloody teeth 

I took the chair again and hit her , not mind where it might hit .

I was thrown back to wall .I gasped for air.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ... YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER , THAT'S IF SHE IS NOT DEAD ALREADY. " 

" But ...it wasn't my fault ."

I received a hot slap that I could heard a ringing in my ear. 

" ALL YOU DO IS CAUSE TROUBLE FOR EVERYONE.....YOU ARE A DANGER TO ALL OF US " She brutally dragged me out of the room ..

"But I swear ,she...." 

"SHE WHAT ?....WHAT IS THE USE OF TRYING TO EQUIVOCATE ....YOU ARE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE HERE " 

I thought she was taking me to the head mistress's office but she was going to the front entrance. 

"I am sorry, please don't throw me out ..." 

"THATS TO LATE ...WE CANT LIVE WITH SOMEONE CAPABLE OF KILLING " 

"Please ,I have nowhere to go .. please ...."I cried 

She opened the door and dragged me out ....she even dragged out of the gates .

" NEVER SET YOUR FOOT IN THIS PLACE, YOU HAVE A FREEDOM TO BE A SAVAGE THAT YOU ARE.... LITTLE DEVIL " she threw me out and looked the gates going back inside .

"Sister Ester.... please ..."I cried .how was I supposed to survive without money nor food .? 

Atleast I was able to retrieve my favourite properties.

"How do I do this mom and papi ??"I cried out loud .....
