My step faltered as I saw Professor Jaxon standing at the entrance of the building. I turned around swiftly, about to return to the cafeteria, administrative structure, anywhere but towards him.

The last time I met with him was in the hospital room where he had been so rude and angry for no reason. I had been able to have a lovely week without his interference in my life, even in class. I thought he was preparing for his wedding and wouldn't be available, which was fine by me. But now, he was here.

I sucked in a deep breath, walking as fast as I could, my gaze on the floor. I gasped as my forehead slammed into a body, and I jumped back in fright, my eyes flickering upward.

It was him. I looked at the entrance where he was standing with wide eyes, but he wasn't there.

How the hell had he gotten in front of me so fast?!

I attempted to turn around, darting to the entrance, which was what I had in mind, but Professor Jaxon’s hand wrapped around my wrist, holding me captive.
