Chapter 8: Silver POV

Alpha Stan had told me we where meeting the Fountain Pack, which was Luna Sophy’s pack, we didn’t made it on time as she was already correcting her pups in the hallways. Leaving Gold in the cleaning felt relaxing, she was going to have a long day of cleaning, but I did order her in front of Catherina to do the notebook, this way I can learn as much about her as possible, and I can work on what the moon goddess has asked of us, she is too caught up on herself that she won’t notice I’m doing her duty, the children of Sophy where being themselves around me, but it was Sophy who was acting a bit odd, I knew she thought less of the body I’m in, she fears Luna Gold, but I had to help our Luna, if I’m fated to her chosen Alpha I should help, maybe this way I could make things better for the pack.

Sophy was a cute girl, Bob styled black hair, with big dole green eyes, olive skin like Luna Gold, she was a bit small of height but her mate was the same built as Alpha Stan, only bold, and with honey eyes, walking to her she straighten her back, I knew very little of how Luna’s and Alpha’s mingled but I knew they have had a lot of time together, “I’m sorry for that earlier, I’m trying something new with the omegas,” Sophy still looked on edge but I had no intension on making things worse, in which case Alpha Stan was right beside me, he held my hand tightly of which would help me calm a bit, “Marcy has been having some of her brain work over board she realized late her mistake in the wagers she did five years ago, and is now trying to solve it all, but it’ll get there, how about you help her out I need to talk to your old Alpha there,” he says playfully to which Sophy agrees, the kids run to the outside to play with the rest of the pups of the pack house.

Walking to my favorite place Sophy speaks, “I’m sure you haven’t gotten the time to talk bout the drama in Loving my Luna but I need to explode the juices, so,” she starts to explain from the very first episode of the tv drama novel that she is clearly obsessed with, and during I had to hold my annoying agony at hearing her talk so lovingly at the program, it’s a tv show that really does nothing but kill your imagination, gives fake news of how love is, books do the same but they are truly inspiring, intelectual even.

My urge to leave was sparked as Sophy talked like a high school student about her silly crush on the Alpha; however, I decided against it. When we reached the library, she stopped suddenly and looked at me, "you're doing your work in there?" But you hate the library, unless Stan is going to be later on the day,” I haven’t thought of that, it was true Luna Gold hated the library, I was the bookworm, maybe Stan would be here later?

But there is an actual problem, a problem I have never told a soul in this pack because then I knew Luna Gold would end me, when I was dropped here as a pup, Luna Gold made my life a living hell, and her mother was worse than her. The reason being I was never allowed to link anyone in the pack, especially not Luna Gold. Her mother took me to Alpha Stan’s pack to be seen by Luna Sally who adored Marcela Gold, when I was a pup she made me swear in her pack, meaning I’m not of this pack entirely, instead I’m from Alpha Stan’s pack. How Luna Gold never found out just proves to me she never really cared about my well-being. Not even once.

I never tried to mind link the Alpha, he was the Alpha, omegas weren’t allowed to link him, but he was my mate now, and I needed to make this as realistic as I possibly could, ‘Alpha Stan?’ I linked him and to my surprise, he replied me, ‘Yes my love, is everything alright or do you need me?’ I smiled at his kind words, I hope this could work so that we could have our alone time, I wanted to know more about Stan, I was curious to learn about him, but I knew I had a duty to fulfill, opening the doors I asked him, ‘could you please pass by the library latter? So that Sophy doesn’t think it’s wired and I don’t particularly like doing my work where the Luna usually goes,’ I asked him in a small plead, Luna Gold’s office is more of her going outside the training grounds to fight till she can get her mind where it should be.

I have always said she was more of a warrior than a Luna, she was more strong hand on but I never had a chance to have my own opinion till now, ‘I would love to meet you there, I think we could discuss some things if it doesn’t bother you once we are done here,’ he replied, I smiled feeling welcomed in my mate's life, ‘absolutely, I’ll see you soon then.’

He makes a kissing sound through our link, and I giggle a smile, Sophy is watching everything I’m doing which makes me feel a bit self cautious, “someone is going to try again? Listen I know it’s the sour spot for you but you can have a pup even if you aren’t fated,” she tells me and I almost dropped my books, looking at her as if she has shot me with her words she walks a bit away from me, “what? Why are you looking at me like that?” She asks me while I’m still shocked at her words, did everyone know about Alpha Stan not being fated to Luna Gold?

Or was it only for the Alphas with their Luna to know, “I know it’s a big secrete that’s why I’m talking to you alone, remember only your Stan knows and I’m never supposed to have known, actually,” she says as she starts to look around her bag, my entire body is not moving, I feel nauseous about the way she is treating me, she knew about this, “have you anything to help me?” She smiled brightly, but her smile felt wrong as she took out a small bag filled with cookies, taking the bag I opened it, and in it were cookies with purple things in it, I have baked a lot in the pack house, and never have I seen cookies with these things, looking at them I saw Sophy shake a bit, “there your favorite, I always get the same kind,” she told me stuttering, why would one stutter when gifting to their supposed best friend?

There was something fishy going on, walking to the nearest table I opened the bag, and took one out, they were in a flower shape, but the purple looked bad, “why don’t you eat them like you usually do? They will get stale soon if you don’t.” She was now pressuring me to eat them, breaking the cookies I placed them on my nose, and as I was sniffing them from a distance nothing happened but when my nose smelled the inside up close my eyes watered, wolfbane.

Walking away from the bag, I held my now bleeding nose, I couldn’t believe she was poisoning me, or better yet she was poisoning Luna Gold, holding my nose I linked Alpha Stan out of fear, ‘Alpha! Please help me!’ I linked him quickly, as I kept holding my nose Sophy walked to the doors of the library, closing them I walked back to the library where there were some of the omegas cleaning the library, I continue to spill blood on the dress, “please protect me, Alpha Stan is on his way here,” I pleaded them to which they looked odd at me, “you have been acting odd, the Marcela I know would have eaten these like the pig she is, but you are soft, weak even. Who are you?”

She kept asking me these questions when I heard the door being slammed, “Open these damn doors!” Alpha Stan shouted in rage, an omega went to open the doors and after successfully opening them Sophy had taken something else from her bag, she took a knife then threw it hitting the spine of the omega who’s named Hilary, she worked many shifts with me, but what made my blood went cold seeing Hilary fall dead on the ground, she was a single mom of a boy.

“No! Hilary!” I shouted while covering my nose, Alpha Stan slammed the doors again, moving violently to Hilary’s body, I growled at the inconsideration of Alpha Stan, but when he saw her dead body his anger rose, “What the hell happened here!” He asked anyone in the room, behind him was Alpha Sam, he looked around the library, and when he saw Sophy she ran with another knife she must have had in her big bag to my neck, holding me hostage.
