Alice's POV

We got to the venue in twenty minutes and I felt nervous. Silver turned to look at me from the front seat. "You'll do great. Don't stress about it." She assured me before leaving the car.

I saw my father waiting for me at the entrance with a scowl on his face. I hate seeing his disgusting face. Hopefully, this will be the last time I'll see him.

Silver opened the door for me. She went to confirm if it was safe for me to get out. Even on a day like this, we have to be on guard.

Enemies could be loitering around. I got out of the car and climbed the stairs. Father stood by the door waiting for me to come to him.

I just stared at him. I didn't move, I was beginning to think about my decisions. I thought to myself if I was doing the right thing. I could just run away right now and hide somewhere till my father dies.
