What do you guys think about Davis coming to find Lisa?
Lisa's P.O.V. "Dad, stop! You'll kill him." I pulled at his arm to no avail, having to watch him beat Lucas in front of me. Lucas was bloody and bruised. The bridge of his nose was gushing blood from the deep wound. His eye was swollen shut, and his cheek was double its size. His head dangled as dad held him up by the shirt. "He won't die," Dad argued, hitting him again. I yelled, begging for him to stop. I kept trying to stop him, to make him turn his attention to me, but he refused. He continued to beat Lucas in front of me even when I placed myself between them. His fist went through me as if I were an apparition, hitting Lucas in the face again and leaving me unscathed. "Lisa!" I felt a firm hand on my shoulder, shaking me awake. "Lisa, wake up. It's just a dream. You're okay." My eyes began to slowly flutter open, blinking as they adjusted to my surroundings. I wasn't in a room I recognized, remembering that I was in Davis' house, in his guest bedroom. His face came int
Lisa's P.O.V. Chris' name flashing across my screen was a splash of cold water called reality. It pulled me right out of this moment with Davis, reminding me I couldn't have him, even if we wanted each other. Which I very much doubt he does. I stepped to the side, releasing myself from our tension filled moment. He didn't say a word as he let me go, allowing me some privacy to answer the phone. "Hello?" I answered, stepping out of the kitchen and walking further away from Davis. "Hello, beautiful. I'm at your door, but you're not answering," he said, making my blood run cold. I can't exactly say I'm at some other guy's house. "I brought breakfast," he added. "That's so sweet of you, but I'm actually not home," I confessed. I don't know why I felt so scared of what Chris' reaction would be if he knew I'd spent the night in another man's house. "Oh," he said, sounding very disappointed. "Where are you? I'll come to you." "I'm with a friend. We've already had breakfast. I'll h
Lisa's P.O.V. Chris took me on a tour, showing me every room, telling me the plans he'd already made for us, and each room. I didn't like the way he planned things without even thinking of asking for my input, or opinion. He saved his room for last, closing the door behind him as I entered further in. "This is my room, soon to be ours," he said, licking his lips as he stared at me. I could tell what was on his mind, but I was worried he'd leave me wanting the way he did last night. He stepped closer to me, placing his hand on the small of my back. His eyes roamed my body before he nuzzled his nose into the nape of my neck. His breath tickled me, causing the hairs on my arms to stand. I felt the warmth pooling inside me as my body reacted to his touches. His hands gripped at my side as he kissed my neck lightly. "You're so beautiful, Lisa," he whispered, kissing my jaw next. I let his lips leave a fiery trail along my jaw to my lips. He licked at my lower lip until I parted it
Davis' P.O.V. Lisa is due to arrive soon for our workout session. I couldn't get the thought of her with some guy her dad involved her without of my head. It has played in my thoughts since I dropped her off at her apartment. More like she dropped herself off since she drove. She knows how to handle a bike well, and I'm all for it. Lisa is a very interesting woman. She has a sharp mind, a kind heart, and a playful demeanor. I was surprised when she asked me to teach her how to fight, but I was happy about it. God knows she needs to defend herself. Every woman should have the know-how, really. I taught Izzy, if only the basics since she protested the entire time. She's not into fighting, having grown up watching it. She's tired of it, and, frankly, desensitized from it. It gives me peace of mind knowing Izzy could handle herself if she needed to. I won't let what happened to her mother happen to her as well. I pulled my phone out, texting Lisa when she still hadn't showed 15 minu
Ch.13 Let Me Take Care Of YouLisa's P.O.V.**Song Suggestion: Don't Give Up On Me by Amber Leigh Irish**Davis' question caught me off guard. I didn't think he saw me in this way. That he had found me attractive or wanted anything more to do with me. I thought he had found me too weak, maybe even irresponsible. Yet here he stood offering to keep me safe. Words I never knew I needed to hear before. Safe. But how can he? This isn't something that can be fought with physical strength. My happiness means the undoing of Lucas' new life. I can't place myself before him again. He's my little brother, yet he protected me from our father all my life. Now it's my turn. I'm the older sister. I should have been protecting him all this time. I knew what was happening, letting it occur because I was too scared to take a beating alongside him. I'll never forgive myself for it. This is my penance, and I'll happily accept it. "You can't," I whispered, wishing my words were untrue. I would love not
Ch. 14 I'm So Sorry Lisa's P.O.V. "Where's auntie?" I asked Abi as I hid behind her small blanket. "Here I am!" I popped out with a smile. Her little happy squeals were music to my ears, reminding me why I'm doing what I'm doing. For her. For him. For them. There's no way in hell I am letting Dad hurt them…any of them. I will marry Chris and I will endure his abusive ways until I can defend myself. I promised Davis my time away from Chris and I plan to keep that promise. Chris and I are to see each other this afternoon. He tried to get me to come to his place, but a public setting is best for now. Seeing how violent he got last time, I knew I needed to keep him away from any closed doors. I convinced him to go to a car show with me. He seemed to be a car enthusiast, but I'm sure for him it's more for show than an actual passion. He seems the type to talk out of his ass when he doesn't know shit. Still, it was what saved me from meeting him at his home. I sighed realizing it was t
Davis' P.O.V. "What do you think? Can you help?" I asked Derek. Derek was the man that helped me find some justice for my wife, Grace. He was an ex-cop now, that knew sometimes the system didn't work and you had to work around it. I thought if anyone could help Lisa it would be him. "This guy sounds like a real piece of work. I'll start digging around and see what I can find. We have to figure out who he has on his payroll first. Does your girl know names?" "I'm not sure, I didn't ask very many follow-up questions. I was pretty pissed off when she told me," I sighed, leaning back in the small booth we chose. This bar was a known hangout for low-lives. The place was always dimly lit, packed full of large men with grungy looks. There wasn't a single person here that liked to meddle in other people's business. Everyone sat on their own at the bar or with their associates at a booth. Currently Derek and I were in the back corner booth, eyeing the scum of the world. It was the best
Lisa's P.O.V. I watched Davis hungrily. I was horny as hell, and I wanted him desperately. It felt like I had a craving that only he could satisfy. I ran my hand over those large muscular arms of his, working up towards his face. I pressed my half naked body against him, standing on the tips of my toes. My lips met his in a fervent passion, sucking and licking. My hands held him close, pushing him into me while pulling me into him, simultaneously. I know this is wrong. I know that I have to marry Chris and that I'll have to bear him a child. The rules to making a baby haven't changed. I will have to sleep with Chris, but all I want is Davis. I want him in me, on me, with me. There's no denying the hunger I have for him deep inside me. I want to pretend that it's not there, to make all this less complicated, but it's impossible. It's ingrained in me, and doesn't want to let go. He's safe, kind, warm, and caring. He's all that I want. All that I wish for now is Davis. "Are you sur
