Aya’s POV

I was taken aback by her sudden request to talk to me. But I still nodded.

What could she possibly want to chat about? I was really curious and wanted to find out as soon as possible.

“Mika..” Johanis dangerously growled. His voice was low and sharp, sending a chill down my spine as he always does. I turned to look at him.. His jaw was clenched tight, and his eyes were fixed on Mika with a look that was part warning, part worry. Even with fresh stitches across his chest, he pushed himself up slightly on the bed, his knuckles white where he gripped the sheets.

“Don’t you dare,” he added, his tone leaving no room for argument. Lily had been about to follow us, but she paused at the edge of his bed, her own expression shifting to concern as she watched her brother tense up more by the second.
