Unwanted Omega
"We should just kill her, Kathrina. I can sense she has a wolf counterpart," My father, Alpha Fredrick, quietly demanded so that the other wolves wouldn't hear.
"What the fuck are you saying!? No! She is still our daughter, Fred. Your own flesh and blood!" Mother defended and shielded herself in front of me. Alpha Fredrick gripped her arm. His claws elongated as it dug into her skin while he sneered, "We are always going circles, Kathrina!"
Alpha Fredrick yanked his mate towards him to furiously whisper those words. He then stared at me as he spoke, "Well, since it has come to this, we might as well kill her now and just deal with her mate later on."
He growled ferociously and was about to slash me with his thick claws. I instantly braced for impact and defended myself with my arms out front, but then I felt warm hands wrapping me up in a tight embrace and jumped from the ground to the branch at once.
"Why don't you just deal with me right now?" A low and deep voice loomed over the forest. I can feel his breath and his sweet, intoxicating scent. It made my heart pound so loudly, and I felt shivers and tingles all over my body. In that instant, I knew I was already his.
"MATE!" Kath yipped, and I felt her happily rolling around in my head.
"Mate," I whispered, and our eyes met. I gasped when I saw how beautiful his eyes were.

Chapter: Epilogue Katie's POVThree years later. The first sound that morning was not birdsong. It was the thunder of two sets of feet racing down the stone hallway.Thud.Thud. Thud.A shriek of laughter. A crash that sounded far too much like a priceless vase dying an untimely death.Sebastian’s voice echoed up the stairs, sharp and strained:“By the gods—TWINS! Slow down this instant!”“I swear to the Moon, I am too old for this!” Miranda cried, her tone halfway between panic and exhaustion. And then, of course, Fenrir’s deep growl reverberated through the hall:“Cubs! Wait..You GREMLINS!! No running in the stronghold! You’ll break your necks and I swear I will not take responsibility with them!”I winced, lifting my head from Vladimyr’s chest. He hadn’t moved. Still sprawled in his usual devilish pose, lips faintly curved even in sleep, one arm locked tight around my waist. But the chaos outside only grew louder.Another vase shattered. Another laugh followed. This time, in twin voices. At first, I

Chapter: 141 - Almost There Katie’s POVA week.It had been a week since that night—the night where fire and shadows blurred into one, where Vladimyr’s patience shattered and Lucifer claimed me with no restraint. Little bursts of giggle suddenly escaped from me.It has been a week ever since my wolf had purred herself hoarse in smug satisfaction. A week since I woke up with my nightdress in tatters, my throat sore from screaming his name, my body deliciously wrecked… only to find my mate missing the very next morning. Not gone, exactly. Just dragged.By the twins.I still remember blinking awake, reaching across the furs for the warmth that should have been there, only to meet cold sheets. My heart had dropped—an irrational, foolish panic clawing at me until I caught the muffled shouts and laughter echoing from the sparring grounds below.Peering out the window, I found them.Vladimyr, my one and only, my eternal mate—the very same man who had sworn the night before that I would not walk for days—was flat on hi

Chapter: 140 - Taste of Fire Katie’s POVAfter the twins left, all I could hear was the sound of my own heart beating ever so loudly..The door clicked shut, muffling Tori’s dramatic groaning and Rori’s muttered curses about never recovering from trauma. What remained was the hiss of the hearthfire and the thundering rhythm of my own heart.Lucifer hadn’t moved. He was still sprawled like a devil incarnate across my bed, chest gleaming, hair a tousled crown of black fire. His bloody gaze tracked me where I stood clutching the blanket around myself, his smirk lingering, patient, infuriating. My skin still tingled where he had pinned me. My lips ached with the ghost of his mouth.“Where were we, little wolf?” His voice was a velvet snarl, a reminder, a threat. He sat up slowly, rolling his shoulders, and the heat in his gaze seared me. “Ah. Right.” His tongue swept over his lower lip. “You were trembling beneath me, begging without words, hmm?”I swallowed hard. My body answered him before my voice did—my thighs pr

Chapter: 139 - The Promise Katie's POV For a heartbeat, no one moved. The air was heavy with the torn threads of desire, the crackle of something unfinished, something unbearable. My chest rose and fell too fast, too hard, the ragged edges of my nightdress clinging to me in tatters. Vladimyr—no, Lucifer—still held me pinned, blood red eyes glinting in the firelight like molten embers. And then came the shriek.“VLAD!” Tori’s voice hit a pitch high enough to crack stone.I turned my head just in time to see her clap her hands over her eyes, cheeks flaming scarlet as she half-stumbled, half-tripped back. “Oh devils above—Sebastian was right, I should never ever barge in—oh no, oh no—”Rori, in contrast, froze like a deer caught in torchlight. His mouth opened. Closed. Then opened again. “Wh—what—” His voice cracked. He rubbed his eyes furiously, as if that might change what he was seeing. “Nope. Nope. Did not see that. I—” He made a strangled sound somewhere between a squeak and a groan and a gagging one. “—I’m

Chapter: 138 - Fire Between UsKatie's POVThe fire was low in the hearth, casting the chamber in amber shadows. His arm around me was heavy with exhaustion, yet I could feel the tension thrumming beneath his skin—like a bowstring stretched too tight, aching to be loosed.I told myself I would let him rest. That tonight, of all nights, he deserved nothing but peace. Yet every inch of me trembled with the simple fact of him—his scent of dark earth and frost, the unyielding line of his body pressed to mine, the heat of his breath ghosting over my temple. His heartbeat beneath my ear was steady now, but when I shifted just slightly, testing the air, it stumbled.“You.. are not sleeping,” I whispered.“No,” he admitted, his voice a low rasp that stroked across my spine. My wolf stirred inside me, ears perked, tail curling. She knew. Oh goddesses this bloody wolf of mine knew.I lifted my head to meet his gaze. His eyes caught the firelight, molten shades of crimson and pale flame. For years, I thought I’d never see t

Chapter: 137 - Anchored In You Katie's POVThe teleport brought us back into the castle halls in a rush of light and breath. The walls of stone—cold, familiar, and steeped with memory—seemed almost warmer now, as though the keep itself recognized him. Vladimyr’s return pulsed through these corridors like a heartbeat restarting. The twins still clung to him, though their excitement had shifted from tears to restless energy. Tori in particular bounced on her heels, tugging at his sleeve.“You owe me, big brother,” she declared, her eyes bright with mischief. “Years of missing birthdays. You’re not allowed to just vanish and come back thinking a hug fixes everything. I want a spar tomorrow. No excuses.”Rori smirked faintly, leaning back with his usual quiet poise. “Not just Tori. Me too. Don’t think you’ll get away with hugging us into silence.” His voice softened only slightly as he added, “We thought you were gone. You can’t imagine—”Vladimyr cut him off gently, brushing his thumb across the boy’s temple like one

Wolf University: Rejected by my Possessive Alpha Mate
Your typical rejection classic plot, but make it at school and in front of everybody! The queen bee and senior year's school president started their last school year with a blast of a gossip! But Sophia is not having it, she will not let him have it his way!
- Blurb -
"I, Jacob Carter of the Blood Moon Pack, reject you, Sophia Addison of the Crescent Moon Pack as my Luna-to-be." He announced with his full voice. I can hear loud gasps and whispers throughout the place. They cannot believe that their goody two shoes of a senior year president is making this claim in front of everybody. What goody two shoes? More like a two faced jerk! I cannot believe they failed to see his facade all these years!
"Sophia Addison, your answer?" He spat. I can feel the people's anticipation and even saw his dad's hands on his face and massaging his head, while his Luna comforted him and glared at Jacob's back.
"I, Sophia Addison of the Crescent Moon Pack, deny your rejection Jacob Carter." I smiled triumphantly at him and he just glared at me. I looked away and turned my back at him, ready to go to where my family are but as I was about to take a step he grabbed my arm. He wants to say something, I can feel it through our stupid special bond or maybe it was Luke but before he can breathe a word, my family jumped in front of me with my mother by my side, the twins in front of us, shielding us and dad at the forefront.

Chapter: Side Story 4.94 - No Glow, Still LightLily's POVI didn’t sleep.I sat curled up beside my brother’s body, arms wrapped around Mr. Bumble, who was looking more like a lump of stuffing than a bear now. His head flopped sideways, and his only remaining eye was scratched. But he was still soft. Still mine.Although, I would surely annoy Joha later to stitch Mr. Bumble. But for now, I hugged him. And I watched Joha’s chest rise and fall, slow and steady. That meant he was alive.Alive was good. But I hated how still he was. Joha was never still. Even in sleep, he used to twitch like a dreaming pup—his fingers curling like he was chasing something in a dream. Now he didn’t move at all. His face was pale. His lashes were wet. I wiped his forehead the way Mama used to do to me when I had fevers. I didn’t know if it helped. But I did it anyway.Sari was the first to sit beside me.He looked tired. Like, way more tired than after training or sneaking out to eat sweets. His shoulders drooped. His nose was red like he wanted to cry

Chapter: Side Story 4.93 - AftermathJohanis’ POVThe world didn’t end that night. But it did fall silent. The shapes retreated—not with a scream, but a sigh. Like old wind pulling back into deep places. One moment, they were all around us, hungry and terrible. The next, they were… gone. Scattered into the wind, like ash and memory.I don’t know what did it. Maybe it was Lily. Maybe it was all of us together. Maybe the guardians—the ones we named—finally stirred and remembered who they were long enough to drive the dark away. All I knew was that the ground had stopped shaking. The screaming had faded. And the only sound left was Lily’s breath against my cheek and the faint hum of Brinn’s sigils glowing in the dirt like cooling embers.I was still lying there, half-conscious. My bones felt heavy. Hollow. My fire… dimmed. Not gone, but resting. Maybe for good reason.“Joha,” Lily whispered. She was crying, but softly now. Like she was afraid even her tears might break whatever fragile safety we’d bought. “It’s over. For no

Chapter: Side Story 4.92 - One Last Stand?Johanis’ POVThe night didn’t stay still for long.A breeze stirred the ash at our feet. I could feel it—soft at first, then sharper, as if the air itself was cutting through the quiet. The trees whispered in a language I couldn’t understand, their branches clawing at the stars like they were begging for help. But no help came. All adults are still stuck in time.Lily’s small hand clutched mine, and I could feel her heartbeat racing—too fast, too fragile. Mr. Bumble dangled from her other arm, one button eye missing, stuffing peeking through his seams.“Joha,” she whispered, voice shaking, “..they’re not gone. They’re just hiding.”I knew it. I felt it in my bones, in the fire that refused to die down inside me. The cracks beneath our feet hadn’t sealed. The air still smelled wrong, like wet earth and something old, something rotten.“We have to go,” I said. “We can’t stay here.”Brinn’s face was pale as the salt scattered around us. He looked like he wanted to argue, but he didn’t. S

Chapter: Side Story 4.91 - Thy NamesJohanis' POVWe froze. There, just at the mouth of the smokehouse, stood shapes that weren’t shapes at all. They were too long, too bent, too many hands dragging along the ground—hands that looked so much like the ones we’d glimpsed clawing up through the cracks earlier. And yet their faces were human.Too human.I recognized them. That was the worst part. Each one had my father’s brow. My mother’s lips. Even Lily’s eyes — sharp and serious, like they’d been looking at me forever. Except these weren’t my family. Couldn’t be.Couldn’t.No..Still, my breath caught all the same.“Joha,” Lily whimpered against my back, pulling at my shirt like it was the only thing keeping her anchored.“They wear our names,” Brinn said, his voice trembling. “That’s what we feared, isn’t it?”I wanted to tell him to hush, to not give them power by saying it aloud, but it was too late. The shapes already moved toward us. Smooth as water. Too smooth, like they glided just above the ground instead of steppi

Chapter: Side Story 4.90 - Touch of ChaosJohanis' POVThe screaming didn’t stop.At first, I thought it was just in my head again. Another echo from the dreams. A cry laced into the wind, a leftover from whatever Hollowroot thing we had named last. But then Lily stood. Her face had gone pale. Not the way you go pale from fear—but like something inside her had been pulled thin. Like her name was being spoken somewhere else, dragged across stone."Do you hear that?" she whispered.Aya jerked upright. She and the others were here on the pretense (although it is also true) of a sleepover. Her hand reached for the bone chalk she always kept looped on a string around her wrist. Brinn's eyes snapped to mine, and I didn’t need words to understand—this wasn’t one of us.It was the others.Real screams.High. Shrill. Some of them barely formed words. Some couldn’t be words.Toddlers.Pups.Babies.I bolted. The salt lines we had laid around the root cellar crackled as we passed them, a faint hiss like breath being sucked through teet

Chapter: Side Story 4.89 - The ForgottenJohanis' POV The plan came together in whispers. It started with Brinn, the quiet boy with ink-stained fingers who rarely spoke unless he was sketching sigils in dirt. I found him by the creek, alone, drawing the same symbol over and over on flat stones. When I said the word Hollowroot, his eyes widened—not in confusion, but recognition. Then came Aya. Her dreams were louder than the others. She’d scream in her sleep sometimes, wake up with runes scratched into her arms like her own wolf that hasn't manifested yet couldn’t wait for her to speak them aloud. I showed her the book. She didn’t flinch, instead it looked like she was waiting for someone to really help her out.I mean, the adults, my parents, their parents, and the elders, actually do provide us great assistance and protection. They have taught us lots of things. But it’s different—truly something else entirely—when the help comes from someone who knows. Someone who’s feeling it too. Someone who is experiencing the same thi

Chapter: 57 - Shifting DynamicsAya's POV We were all still laughing.Still riding the high of Hillia’s last-second save. Tavian was dramatically reenacting the goalkeeper’s dive for the fifth time, complete with sound effects and an unnecessary slow-motion spin, while Lily critiqued his “form” like she was some professional analyst.Johanis stood beside me, arms crossed, wearing that small, superior smirk he reserved for moments like this—when competition felt clean and fun and sharp instead of ugly. And then—A roar erupted from the second ice court. Not the normal cheer of a good play. Not even the explosion of a goal. This was a little bit different…Louder. Rougher. Almost feral. All of us froze. Tavian lowered his imaginary goalie glove. “That… doesn’t sound right..”Another wave of noise crashed through the arena. Someone shouted. A whistle shrieked. The sound of skates carving hard into ice echoed faintly even from this distance. My stomach tightened for unknown reasons.“What match is that?” I asked.“Blac

Chapter: 56 - Electric TensionAya's POV By the time the third period began, the energy inside the arena had shifted from loud excitement to sharp, electric tension.Hillia was leading by one point. Silvergate had been chipping away at them slowly—methodical, smiling, patient. The kind of patient that made my skin itch. And their smile? Really annoying and at the same time, sinister..“Why do they always look so calm?” I muttered, gripping the railing in front of me.“Because they practice composure,” Johanis replied smoothly from beside me.“They look like they’re enjoying it.”“They are,” he corrected. “Pressure is their preferred terrain.”I shot him a look. “That sounds dramatic.”“It’s accurate.”Lily leaned over the railing, squinting at the rink. “Silvergate’s left wing keeps circling wider. They’re setting up something.”My stomach flipped. “How do you even see that?”“I observe,” she said proudly.“Well I panic,” I mumbled. The clock ticked down. 2:13 remaining and Silvergate gained possession! The sound

Chapter: 55 - HandicapAya’s POVDay one.And I already want to riot..Because apparently, being last year’s representative of the interschool tournament does not grant Woodhill University any glorious advantage.No..It grants them a handicap.A freaking handicap!!They are required to defeat three teams.Three!!!While the others only need to defeat two! And two losses equals elimination.“Explain to me again how the fuck that is fair,” I muttered, arms crossed tightly over my chest. Lily shrugged beside me as she arrived not even three minutes long.“It’s simply tradition.”“That is the most stupid justification I have ever heard.”“They say it proves consistency,” she added helpfully, trying to low-key defend this unreasonable rule of theirs!! “..If Woodhill really deserves to represent again, they should be able to defeat three.”“Then make the others defeat three too!”I could feel Johanis’ subtle smirk but I chose to ignore him, or else he might be the recipient of my ire.Lily merely shoved popcorn i

Chapter: 54 - Bruises and GritAya’s POVPractice. And then more practice..And then even more practice…That was basically their.. no, our life for the next four days. The first day, the boys still had the audacity to complain. By the second day, their legs were trembling too much to complain properly. By the third day, they simply accepted their fate.By the fourth day? They looked like battle survivors as Johanis was utterly merciless.“Again.”“Captain—”“Again.”“I cannot feel my arms.”“You won’t need your arms to skate faster. Again.”Kael nearly dropped to his knees on the ice. Finn dragged him back up by the collar. Leon muttered something about “selective cruelty.” Brooks just kept skating like a silent soldier who had long surrendered to discipline. And me?I simply watched. Sometimes from the bleachers. Sometimes near the barrier, wrapped in Johanis’ spare jacket with his jersey number 06 because the rink was always freezing. Sometimes he would glance at me mid-drill, just to check if I was still there.

Chapter: 53 - A Quiet HopeAya's POV “How would I know the answer to that question?” She replied. “I literally just bumped into you guys because I know that you’d be going this way.”I tilted my head and wondered what she meant by that. It seems the others are thinking the same thing as Finn repeated suspiciously, “This way?”She merely pointed behind us. And when I turned—Oh.Professor Thorne’s corridor.. Of course. The long, slightly dim hallway at the east wing of Woodhill University that always smelled faintly of old parchment and something… metallic. The way leading straight to Professor Thorne’s classroom. Not the forest. Not Bloodbury.Just… class..Still terrifying, but in an academic way.I don't even know why I thought of the forest but maybe it's just because that place gives me the creeps and a PTSD.Kael exhaled loudly. “Oh. That way.”Leon scratched his head. “For a second I thought—”“The forest?” Finn supplied. They all exchanged looks. Thank Goddess I thought I was the only one being paranoid

Chapter: 52 - Lesson in SubterfugeAya ’s POVI seriously looked at him and gave it my all so as to not punch him in the face. Took a huge breath and whispered with all my might, “What. Exactly. Was. That?”Johanis did not even flinch. He kept his posture relaxed, hands loosely clasped behind his back like he wasn’t the reason my tiny spark had been murdered in cold blood!“Damage control,” he replied calmly.“Damage control?” I repeated, incredulous. “You extinguished my first spark like it was a mosquito!”His eyes flickered briefly—annoyance, then something deeper. “You should hide what you can really do.”I let out an outraged gasp. “Excuse me?”“You heard me the first time, Ayreil.”I stared at him, heat rising in my chest. “Then what about you? You certainly looked pleased when everyone clapped their hands with your attempt!”A few nearby classmates glanced at us, clearly sensing tension. Ryan paused mid-practice. Finn slowed his movements just enough to listen without looking obvious. Leon tilted his head slight
