Ethan POV

We both got inside, seated, and the air between us was thick enough to choke on. Asher hadn’t moved an inch since we sat down.

Okay… I know he is usually indifferent, but this time it was different, as his gaze stood still, unwavering.

Was he mad about me saying yes to the beach? Or is he mad about the hickeys that are now practically screaming on my neck?

Either way… I don't intend to waver now, at least not today. I met his gaze head on, with my chin lifted.

“Yes?” I answered, blunt, with a sharp eye raise.

“Your note,” he paused, his eyes flicked to my bag then back to me, “For the lesson remember?”
