Ethan POV

The air of the lecture theatre was thick enough to choke in. My skin prickled under the weight of both their stares, as neither retracted.

Asher's look was pure, blunt, void of emotion as he stared at me with a hint of discontent and suspicion in his eyes, as they narrowed all over my body, seeming to be faced by my dreadful look.

Stefan, however, had a smug look with his sarcastic grin, widened in pride at the sight of my dishevelled state, his grin a possessive one, a silent reminder of the morning excuse, that was currently making my blood boil.

I dropped my gaze to the floor, focusing on the marks on the scurf tile.

“Breathe Ethan, breath,” I muttered to myself, trying to calm my emotions, my head still down.

I just can't let Asher see the anger, he just can't see me in such a state again, I promised.

And I certainly do not want to give that jerk the pleasure of watching me boil in rage right now.
