Lincoln's POV

Well, Camps almost over. This year has flown by faster than any before, probably because for once, I genuinely enjoyed myself. Spending the past two months surrounded by wolves whose company didn't irritate the living shit out of me was a surprising but welcome change.

Even more importantly, I've finally completed my unit. The past month with Sam, Jackson, and Isaac by my side has felt surreal, yet so damn right. We seamlessly integrated, our dynamic balanced perfectly. Jackson's serious, studious nature tends to keep us focused, though sometimes overly so. Isaac balances him perfectly with his humour and easy-going personality, and he's always good at breaking the tension caused by my darker brooding or Sam’s internalizing. Our friendship has solidified more quickly than I imagined, leaving us all eagerly anticipating our arrival at AC.

“Hey, Lincoln,” Jackson calls from across the room, jolting me from my thoughts. “Have you finished packing yet, or are you planning t

  • Scarred by fate    Chapter 266

Zahra's POVChloe’s energy is so genuine it pulls me out of my own head. Brunch picks up from there — full of low chatter and mismatched moods. Some people look like they’re regretting every drink from last night. Others, like Lottie and Alice, are already animated, buzzing about who wore what, whose hair held up, and who definitely did not pull off feathers. Chloe joins in periodically but it’s clear her heads banging. I nod along, half-listening, half-navigating the laser beam of Tobias’s intermittent stares.“Zahra, are you all packed? Do you need help with anything?” Alison leans around Jasper to speak to me, her voice warm and no-nonsense.I sigh. “Yes. I’m all packed. And ready.”She gives me one of those knowing smiles. The kind that says I see you, even when you

  • Scarred by fate    Chapter 265

Zahra's POVI groan as my phone starts blaring, dragging me out of a deep sleep. I’m beyond exhausted after last night — it was past 3 a.m. when I finally collapsed into bed.The ball was magical. I danced with a boy for the first time... and then many, many boys after that. Honestly, I felt like I barely left the dance floor. When Tobias asked me to dance, in front of everyone — I thought I was going to spontaneously combust. I’ve never danced anywhere before, let alone at a royal ball. But he looked after me, kept me steady, and made me feel like I belonged there. Twirling around in his arms under all those chandeliers? It was like something straight out of a fairy tale. A perfect end to my fairy tale summer.I danced with Xander, Max, Lincoln, Brant, Oscar... even Aiden and Uncle Nicholas managed to pull me into a spin or two.

  • Scarred by fate    Chapter 264

Lincoln's POVAs we exchange greetings, Alpha Brice Anderson and his Luna, Jenny, approach from behind. Brant lights up at the sight of them, hugging his parents before they start making the rounds, greeting Alpha Lucas and Luna Alison like old friends.Another couple comes up next — the man looks like a leaner version of Alpha Lucas, and the resemblance to Sebastian is obvious. That has to be his parents. His mother has flawless pale skin, pale blonde hair, and piercing blue eyes. Classic beauty, icy perfection. Our groups mingle, parents shaking hands with each other, proud smiles on all their faces. I drift a bit, following Jackson and Isaac over to their families. Their mothers are warm, proud, and surprisingly quick with sarcastic remarks. they introduce Sam and me to their Alphas, both seem to be solid men — not overly flashy, but clearly respected. both Jackson and Isaac's fathers and brothers greet me like one of their own, which I’ll admit, feels fucking weird... and good.

  • Scarred by fate    Chapter 263

Lincoln's POVWith our preparations sorted, we head to the cars, laughing and joking along the way. Xander texted Tobias, arranging for us to join him and his unit for pre-ball drinks at the palace, allowing Max to find a replacement suit. Tonight, at least for now, everything feels right.Once we arrive at the castle, the butler leads us to the same glass-roofed lounge we were in before dinner the night we met Isaac and Jackson. The air is warm and smells of old whiskey, tobacco, and something distinctly male. As we step inside, the scent hits instantly. Bears. Alpha Daemon and his unit. They’re unmistakable. Towering, broad-shouldered, wearing sharp tailored suits. Their presence is immense — a quiet, crackling dominance that makes even the strongest wolves in the room stand up straighter.Tobias is already there, standing with Aiden, Jasp

  • Scarred by fate    Chapter 261

Tobias's POVSlowly, her sobs subside. She pulls back, sniffling, and wipes her nose with the back of her hand.“I’m sorry. I’m all over the place today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’m never like this.”Her cheeks flush pink as she says it, and she’s gone back to avoiding eye contact.“You have nothing to apologize for. I’m going to miss you too. I was just thinking about how I could come visit you at Night Howlers before I found you here. You’re not the only one who likes having you in the castle, little one.”She blushes even deeper at that but gives me a soft smile.“Now, have you finished your workout? Want me to spot you? Or are you ready to relax?”She wrinkles her nose at me. “You’re hardly dressed to spot me.” She nods toward my suit.
