Mean But Inciting Butterflies

Chloe's heart raced as she stood there in the kitchen with her phone to her chest and she couldn’t perceive the burning smell that was coming from the cooker.

It wasn’t until Camden called her name twice that she snapped out of it. She looked at him and asked. “What's going on? Why did you call me like that? You need my help or something?” she asked him but he shook his head and pointed to the cooker. “Something is burning.”

She looked behind her and her eyes went huge again, then she ran to the cooker to turn it off. The food wasn’t burning because the cooker was on low heat but she had mistakenly let the napkin she was using fall close to the burner of the cooker and it had caught on slowly. Grabbing the unaffected end of the napkin, she hauled it over to the sink and opened the faucet to turn off the fire. Thankfully, it just started and the windows were opened so everything was back to normal in a couple of minutes.
