I bowed my head in surprise, "I never expected to see you here," my voice shaking as I tried to grasp my breath.

Concern filled his eyes as he stared at me from my head to my toes, scanning my drenched clothes as the water cascaded down my hair.

I rubbed my hands against my freezing body for warmth, clutching my arms tightly as my teeth chattered.

"Oh! You." Nickolas gestured his finger at me. He squinted his brows, observing me as he took a step closer.

"Munchkin. What are you doing out here alone?"

"M..Munchkin?"

A smile curled on his lips. "Can't you see you're short?" he teased.

Prominent lines appeared on my forehead. "But I'm not that sh…" He cut me off between my words.

"Are you alright?" He asked, gesturing his hand at the water as I tilted my head in the direction of his hand.

Forcing a smile, "Oh, that! I-I'm fine. I just got startled when you spoke." I stuttered, my face turning pale, embarrassed that I had fallen into the water.
