Ethan just looked at me as the officer walked over to us. “Stand up,” He demanded. We did as he asked and he uncuffed us. “The server said you guys weren’t even the start of it, but just got caught up in this mess. Regardless, you are free to go.”

“Thank you, office.” I muttered as I walked over to Stella and avoided Ethan’s eyes.

“Are you okay?” I asked her.

“This should be good by tomorrow. Some butterfly tape and I’m good.” Stella smiled.

“Listen, Ethan is here.” I whispered. Her jaw dropped as I felt him walk around the ambulance. My skin literally tingled without even touching him.

“I assume you are Grace and Stella?” Travis and Kyle were behind him, looking worried.

“I’m Grace.” Straightening my back, I turned to face him. It took everything in me to keep my body still.

“And you are feeling better from the jellyfish?” His eyes didn’t leave mine.

“Yes.” Mostly the truth.

“Good. Kyle, take Stella to the house. Travis and Grace will ride with me,” Ethan said and walked aw
