However, I didn’t hear the elevator. The salad wasn’t cutting it. What I wanted were brownies. Putting my salad bowl in the sink, I began looking for the stuff I needed. I didn’t want to use a mix, so I pulled out all the ingredients. Turning the oven on to 375 degrees, I started mixing.

“What are you cooking?” Travis walked through the doors.

“SHIT, you scared the crap out of me. I swear, you guys walk around like ghost.”

“Ghost don’t walk.” He smirked as he sat down at the bar on the opposite end.

“Can’t sleep?” I asked as I mixed in the coco.

“Nope. Today has been eventful.”

“Tell me about it. I’m sorry if you are in trouble.”

“It’s not your fault, and I’m not in trouble. He will probably push me harder, maybe throw in an extra punch, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. “

“We really didn’t start any of it. The guys threw a bottle that hit Stella.” Mixing the wet and the dry to get her was getting difficult.

“Need help?” Travis asked, standing up.
