Even if Laura could prove that she did take Scarlett to room 605, and successfully ruin Scarlett's name, it would be easy to pin the three guys hiding in there on Laura because she just admitted to her involvement!

Scarlett had several plans prepared, none of them involving Laura being so stupid.

Now she only needed to use the simplest one--

Turned and looked at the number on the door with a perfect smile, Scarlett then turned to the media with a sweet smile: "You must remember wrong, dear sister. I could barely walk when you took me here, so how can I move to another room?"
