"Astrid woke up due to the piercing rays of the sun. She lay there for a while, trying to get her emotions intact. Andrew wasn't beside her. The room had been cleaned. She sat up, and her eyes went to the lamp stand. She saw a glass of water and contraceptive pills. She quickly took them to avoid any string that would draw her to Andrew Thompson.
She went to the dining. The maids were ogling about something. 'What is so juicy?' Astrid asked. 'It's nothing, ma'am' They all chorused. Astrid knew that they were talking about her. They were talking about last night because she spotted Claudia eavesdropping last night. 'Good morning, Miss' Claudia greeted. 'Morning' Astrid answered. 'Did you see the tablet I placed by...' 'I've taken them already,' Astrid cut her short. 'What time did Mr Thompson leave?' she asked. ''He left last night, ma'am,' she replied courteously." Meanwhile, at the Walton's home, when Mira got home, she cried throughout the night, and her father kept consoling her till she slept off. When she woke up, she had an idea. She decided to go and visit Mrs Elena Thompson, that is, Andrew's mother. 'Mrs Elena initiated the engagement, so she must be on my side,' Mira said to her father. 'What if she isn't?' Mister Walton asked her. Mira glared at him. 'She is on my side, and there is nothing more than that.' 'Fine, what do you want to do there?' Mister Walton asked. 'I will help her clean, make tea for her, give her a massage, anything,' Mira replied. 'And what do you want to tell her?' Mister Walton asked. 'DAD!' Mira yelled, ' I told you everything that happened last night! How I was slapped by that fool called Astrid, humiliated in front of my friends and everybody that attended the Mills birthday party, and also abandoned by Mr Thompson because of Astrid! Can't you see that Astrid has seduced him I'm meant to be with Andrew, not her? She doesn't belong with Andrew; she belongs with George, not Andrew! He's spoiling her! Did you see her car? She lives in his mansion! That's meant to be me! That is my life! She's living my life while I'm living hers in this miserable place!' she yelled. 'What would she do for you?' Mr Walton asked calmly. 'Anything that will bring us closer,' Mira said. 'I want to be with him, him alone and only him.' Mira said that as she sat on a couch. 'Have you told her that you're coming over?' Mister Walton asked. 'I did, and she said it's okay because I have every right to,' Mira replied. 'Okay,' Mister Walton said as he sipped his tea, while Mira went through her phone." Mr. Thompson came in the afternoon to check on Astrid. 'Don't you have anything to do?' Astrid asked the minute she saw him enter the house. 'Can't you get yourself occupied with something? Why do I have to see you every day of my life?' she asked as Andrew sat on the couch beside her. 'Go and get me a glass of water,' he said. 'I won't,' Astrid said, crossing her legs. Mr. Thompson took off his jacket. 'Then I'm sure you won't mind if I have you here,' he said, tracing his fingers on her lap. Astrid stood up and went to the kitchen. She decided to serve him hot water for embarrassing her last night. She poured it out and went to him. 'Here,' she said, carrying the glass to his mouth. The moment the water touched his tongue, he spat it out. 'What is wrong with you?' he asked as Astrid placed the cup on the table. 'Nothing, that's payback,' she said, wanting to stand up, but Mr. Thompson pulled her back forcefully onto his lap. She felt something poking her beneath but she decided to behave herself and keep quiet. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close for a kiss, but she dodged and smiled. Mr. Thompson's phone rang. The caller was Mira Walton. She knew it was his sister. Mr. Thompson looked at it and then at Astrid with a little smile. He answered the call, and Astrid sat on him this time, with her legs on either side of him, putting her hands around him, dropping kisses. He didn't mind Mira hearing them, but his mother was there too. 'Andrew, Mrs. Thompson says she misses you,' Mira said over the phone. 'Did I disturb you?' Mira asked after hearing the moans and kisses. "Is my mother doing well?" he asked. "My daughter-in-law is taking good care of me. Both of you should try to get along and start living together"Mrs Thompson said but Astrid was buttoning his shirt, rubbing his abs, making it hard for him to breathe. "Don't move," he said to Astrid, who was making Mrs Thompson anxious to know who was there. "Who is there with you?" Mrs Thompson asked harshly but he moaned louder because Astrid was moving. "I'll call you later," he said as he ended the call and kissed Astrid fiercely, carrying her out to the bedroom. "Stop this, I'm not in the mood." "You're a devil, you say this everytime" "I'm not" "You started the fire, so you have to quench it." Mr Thompson said as he kissed her "See, this is exactly what I told you about, and Astrid is sleeping with Andrew," Mira said with fake tears in her eyes. "Calm down, we'll find out. Call him again," Mira dialed his number, and it rang, but there was no answer. Mrs Thompson tried the same, and it was the same - no answer. "This was what I was talking about." Mira said "It's okay, I'll talk to him about it," Mrs Thompson consoled. "When will I be able to move in with him?" Mira asked. "We'll discuss that too, dear. Now go and make me more of this delicious tea," she said with a smile, and Mira agreed.Astrid turned to look at Andrew, who was seated in a cloud of smoke, clothed in black, facing the other end of the room. He was puffing on his cigarette, the cigarette glowing like a tiny firefly in the dim light. “Andrew?” Astrid called out calmly.Andrew paused, his eyes narrowing slightly as he tried to place the voice. Could it be Astrid? he asked himself, a spark of curiosity igniting within him. But he pushed the thought away, dismissing it as impossible. Why would she be here of all places? “Andrew Thompson?” she called again, her voice a little louder this time, a little more insistent.Andrew turned to face the human who dared address him by name, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Astrid. He froze in shock, the cigarette slipping from his fingers. He threw it to the floor and extinguished it with a swift motion, his eyes never leaving hers.Astrid let out a sarcastic laugh, the sound husky and teasing. She watched as Andrew took a shot of whiskey, the amber liq
Astrid pulled up to Blue Oysters, the neon lights of the sign casting a glow over the crowded parking lot. She drummed her fingers on the steering wheel. Wondering if Andrew would show up?She grew impatient as she waited, her eyes scanning the parking lot for any sign of Andrew's car. And then, suddenly, there he was - pulling into the lot in his sleek black sedan, John riding with him as always.Astrid's heart skipped a beat as she watched Andrew step out of the car, his eyes scanning the crowd with a mixture of caution and curiosity. He didn't seem to notice her, and she breathed a sigh of relief as he disappeared into the throng of people. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She had to be careful - if Andrew spotted her following him, she'd blow her chances of uncovering whatever secrets he was hiding. Astrid slipped out of her car and entered into the crowd, her eyes fixed on the door Andrew had disappeared through. As she pushed her way through the pac
Mrs Thompson turned to Mira, her eyes locking onto hers. "You're going to have to handle this situation with Astrid," she said. "I hope you can keep your cool and not let her get to you. If she starts a fight, finish it. I believe in you, and I want you to make me proud."Mira's expression was calm and collected, but Mrs Thompson could sense a hint of determination in her eyes. She knew she was capable of handling Astrid, capable of taming Andrew, but he also knew that Astrid was a force to be reckoned with.As Andrew continued to think about the situation, he couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration. He felt like he was losing control, and Astrid was getting further and further away from him. He knew he needed to do something, but he wasn't sure what.Mrs. Thompson's gaze swept over Andrew, her eyes lingering on him before shifting to Astrid. A faint frown creased her forehead as she pondered the situation."I still don't understand why Mira is here," Andrew said, his tone measu
As she got home, Astrid walked in boldly. Everyone, including Claudia, observed the change in her mood. She wasn't the calm Astrid anymore; she was the brave and bold and domineering Astrid. Her heels clicked on the floor, making a distinct sound as she walked. The way she gave orders made Claudia stand on her toes each time she spoke."Claudia, come prepare the bath water," Astrid said, her voice firm. "I want to take a bath." With that, she walked swiftly into her room, leaving Claudia to follow her instructions.Astrid decided to stay up all night to carry out her plan, and as expected, Andrew didn't come home at his usual time. He was always back by eleven PM, but now it was already 3:30 AM, and he was still not back. Astrid kept herself occupied while waiting, but at different intervals, Claudia would come to remind her to go to bed. Each time, Astrid would wave Claudia off, saying she was waiting for Andrew. As the minutes ticked by, Astrid's mind began to reel back to her enc
Astrid sat across from George, her eyes locked onto his. She could see the concern etched on his face, but she wasn't sure if it was genuine."George, what are you talking about?" she asked, her voice calm and measured. "What do you mean Andrew is the leader of a gang?"George leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I'm talking about the Big Dogs, Astrid. They're a notorious gang that smuggles weapons and engages in all sorts of illicit activities. And Andrew is their leader."Astrid's mind was racing. She had suspected that Andrew was involved in something shady, but she hadn't expected it to be this."Why are you telling me this, George?" she asked, her eyes narrowing. "What's in it for you?"George's expression turned serious. "I'm telling you this because I care about you, Astrid. I don't want to see you get hurt. And you're married to the leader of the Big Dogs, you're in danger."Astrid studied George's face, trying to read his motivations. Was he telling the truth, or was
When they arrived at the office, Andrew was busy giving instructions to his manager, who nodded and adjusted his glasses from time to time. Astrid stood by Andrew's side, waiting patiently until he finished. She observed the way Andrew commanded respect from his employees, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of the unease that seemed to surround her."Let's go," Andrew said, his voice firm and commanding. Astrid surprised him by slipping her small fingers into his hand. Andrew was pleased, despite the unexpected gesture. He held her hand because it wasn't something that happened often. Most of the time, Astrid was moody being with trust issues. As they walked into the office, the room fell silent, followed by loud whisperings. Astrid caught a glimpse of Kimberly's face, and her smile grew as she saw the jealousy written all over it. But Astrid didn't let Kimberly's animosity bother her; Andrew was a much bigger problem. The tension in the room was palpable, and Astrid could feel t
