ETHAN'S POV

“Young master Ethan, your mother wants to see you right now.”

That was the message delivered to me just seconds after ending a stressful call with my supplier. The voice belonged to Martin, my mother’s right-hand man, and for her to send him personally to my office, it had to be serious.

I stared at my phone for a moment, reading nothing and everything at once. I could feel the headache beginning to crawl up the side of my head. Whatever this was about, it wasn’t going to be good. I stood from my chair, grabbed my blazer from the backrest, and shrugged it on. I didn’t bother buttoning it.

My office door opened as I stepped out, and as usual, a few employees walking by paused to greet me. I didn’t respond. My mind was too crowded. I made my way down the building quickly, ignoring the buzz of activity around the lobby.

The moment I reached the parking lot, Justin, my long-time driver opened the back seat of the car. I slid inside without a word. He closed the door behind me

EMILY’S POVSo I’m deaf now.The words echoed in my mind like a final sentence, the kind that doesn’t need to be said out loud because it’s already carved into your soul.I can’t hear anything anymore. Not laughter. Not music. Not a baby crying. Not even the comforting hum of silence. It’s all gone, swallowed into a black hole of stillness that surrounds me now like a thick fog I can’t escape.Forever.Is this really how my story ends?I’ve been through so much. Too much.I’ve been accused of murder when all I wanted was justice. I’ve been accused of theft, like I was nothing more than a desperate criminal. I’ve been drugged by someone I least expected and I was raped. My dignity was crushed, and my soul almost went with it.They humiliated me. Played w

  • Seducing My Ex's Brother    Chapter 141

EMILY’S POVThe ringing wouldn’t stop.It roared in my ears like a raging storm, loud, unrelenting. I couldn’t hear anything else. Just the high-pitched, agonizing whine that pierced through my head and made the world around me spin.My vision blurred.Shapes turned into shadows. Faces blended into a palette of confusion and movement. I felt detached, like my body was standing in the room, but my mind was drifting far, far away. Then, a hand touched me.Startled, I gasped, stumbling back a little, my instincts kicking in. My hand shot up, ready to strike whoever it was. But just as fast, I froze. It was Mara. Her expression was full of concern, her mouth moving rapidly but I couldn’t hear a single word. Not a sound. Not even a whisper.Panic gripped my chest.

  • Seducing My Ex's Brother    Chapter 140

EMILY'S POVI landed my eyes on her, the woman who had been lurking quietly, unnoticed by most of the people in the room, but not by me.I saw her the moment I walked into the venue, standing at the far end with an untouched glass in her hand, her gaze flitting between people like a hawk scanning for prey.“Who sent you?” I asked again, louder this time. My voice didn’t shake. It cut through the thick tension in the air like a blade. She blinked slowly, her lips curling into a smirk that didn’t quite reach her eyes.“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, her tone flat, unimpressed, dismissive.I tilted my head slightly, letting out a quiet laugh, not out of amusement, but disbelief.“What did I expect from someone who tried to kill me by setting my friend’s house on

EMILY'S POV“What?!” Victoria screamed, stumbling backward, her hands trembling as she gripped the edge of the nearby table for balance. “No. No, this isn’t happening, this can’t be real. She can't be alive, her body was burnt. I witnessed it.”I descended the stairs slowly, each stepmeasured, deliberate, echoing through the suddenly silent hall like a judge walking into a courtroom. The atmosphere had shifted. It wasn’t a party anymore, it was a stage. A stage where the truth was finally going to be performed in full view."Should we have a little analepsis?" I asked, smiling slightly at the stunned audience. "A flashback, if you will. Let me take you back."FLASHBACKTHE DAY OF MARA’S FAKE FUNERAL — HOSPITAL ROOMWhere… where am I?That was the first thought that formed in my mind a

  • Seducing My Ex's Brother    Chapter 138

EMILY’S POV"Answer me!!! Is that why you pushed her off the stairs?" Olivia’s voice tore through the air, sharp and furious. Her eyes, full of disbelief, rage, and something deeper, disgust, bore into me. I stood at the foot of the stairs, my arms crossed over my chest, watching her with a cool expression.I scoffed, refusing to let her words and expression shake me. "I didn’t push her. She fell off the stairs herself," I replied firmly, lifting a shoulder in a half-shrug.“Don’t believe her, she pushed me off the stairs!” Celeste shrieked from where she lay, still at the bottom of the staircase, gripping her arm dramatically. “Emily hurt me!”The crowd gasped loudly. Eyes widened. Hands flew to mouths. Some people even stumbled backward from the weight of the accusation. Phones were now up. Lights blinked. Flashlights sparked. The entire moment was be

  • Seducing My Ex's Brother    Chapter 137

EMILY'S POVThings had been moving along smoothly for a week well, as smooth as they could be when everything was secretly boiling beneath the surface. Dave’s idea, as dangerous as it was, seemed to be working. He had been meticulous with his planning, and Olivia and I followed his lead, each of us playing our part carefully and silently. But as the days crept closer to the event, so did the tension. I could feel it in my bones. And now, the day of Dave’s parents' wedding anniversary had finally arrived. The calm before the storm had never felt so real.Over the past week, the ringing in my ears had come and gone like a ghost sometimes distant, sometimes sharp and close. But I didn’t tell anyone. Not even Ethan. I didn’t want to give anyone a reason to stop me from attending the event. I didn’t want anyone trying to protect me when this was something I needed to do.
