I was just returning from a meeting when I saw the man Pete let me know he was going to be training Mae with. He was exiting the empty hall area at the rear of the mansion.

I assumed Pete was done with Mae for the day and went towards the hall. I walked in and neither of them noticed my presence, they were busy.

I decided to make my way up the stairs to get a better view of what they were doing but I kept on stopping through the stairs to watch Mae counter most of Pete's moves against her.

I was just getting to the top of the stairs when she gave Pete a kick against the head. That must hurt.

My hands in my pockets, I watch them go on. Pete wanted to throw her off balance by lifting her and putting her behind him but she landed on her foot. I smiled, happy she didn't hit the ground but then that ended in me sucking my lower lip in between my teeth.
